Venom F5 Revolution is the new beast on the road

All car enthusiasts know that the Venom F5 is one of the most powerful and fastest cars in the world. Now at the end of the week, Hennessey will unveil the limited edition of the ultra sports model, Venom F5 Revolution.

Compared to the standard F5, the Revolution is equipped with better-tuned adaptive suspension elements and aerodynamic body solutions with which the F5 Revolution will have significantly better cornering grip. Under the hood is a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 1,817 hp (1,336 kW) and 1,193 lb-ft (1,617 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox.

The F5 Revolution weighs only 1,360 kilograms, which is 25 kg less than the Venom F5. Hennessey says that the multi-adjustable rear spoiler, at a speed of 400 km/h, ensures 635 kilograms of pressure on the rear axle. Handling will also be helped by the larger diameter of the ultra-light rims with tires for use only on the track.

The car will be produced in only 24 examples of which, as the company from Texas claims, most of them have been sold. The price of each F5 Revolution is $2.7 million.

Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster

In 2019, Hennessey began the story of its new convertible car, the Venom F5 Roadster, which was recently unveiled at Monterey Car Week. It is the fastest and most powerful convertible in the world, which will be produced in only 30 copies.

The Venom F5 Roadster is based on the Coupe version of this model, and comes with an 8 kg removable carbon roof panel covered in Alcantara. Owners can choose a Merino wool travel bag to store the panel in. At the back is a new tempered glass window that provides a view of the engine. What separates it from the Coupe are the specially made forged aluminum wheels with seven pairs of spokes that look like the letter “H”.

“We created the Venom F5 to be the ultimate expression of a hypercar. The Roadster version takes the Coupe’s speed, exhilaration, and awe, plus a sprinkling of respect-inducing fear, to a new, truly visceral level that brings owners closer to the Venom F5’s extreme performance,” said company founder and CEO John Hennessey. .

Under the hood is a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 1,817 hp (1,336 kW) and 1,193 lb-ft (1,617 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a robust automated single-clutch gearbox. Hennessey claims that this supercar can reach a top speed of 300 mph (483 km/h), which is significantly faster than the current speed record (265.6 mph) held by the GT Spyder.

The starting price of the Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster is $3 million, which is almost $1 million more than the Coupe version.

Hennessey Venom F5 in all its power

Hennessey Performance posted a short video on its YouTube channel from the track where it tests the high-speed stability and vehicle dynamics of the Venom F5. The video shows John Hennessey and one of his team members driving in an Audi as they watch the Venom F5 unleash all its power.

In “F5 Mode” Venom unlocked its full power, using 1,817 hp (1,355 kW) it reached a speed of 250 mph (400 km / h). Hennessey confirmed that vehicle stability was tested at this speed.

This is another step towards the goal of this hypercar to reach a speed of 300 mph (483 km / h), or over 310 mph (500 km / h).

The Venom F5 is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 1,817 hp (1,355 kW) and 1,193 lb-ft (1,617 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission. Although it weighs 3,053 lb (1,385 kg), it reaches 62 mph in 2.6 seconds, 124 mph (200 kph) in 4.7 seconds, 186 mph (300 kph) in 8.4 seconds and 248 mph (400 kph) in 15.5 seconds.
