The first Singer Porsche 911 Turbo Study Cabriolet

Singer Group is known for restoring the 911 models to their original state, using the best parts in multigenerational evolution, to create the perfect car. Until now, all cars were with a hard top. However, that changed as Singer recently unveiled its first 911 Cabriolet as part of its Turbo Study.

“Our goal with the Turbo Study is to distill the awesome thrill of Porsche’s first ‘supercar’ while reimagining its performance and refinement. We’re excited that owners can now choose to enjoy these traits with the roof down,” said the company’s founder and CEO, Rob Dickinson.

The company is focused on making unique examples in cooperation with their owners. This time it’s a Porsche 911 (930), and the inspiration was the first Porsche Sport 356/1, which was also a convertible. “I’ve long wanted to celebrate that part of Porsche heritage at Singer and doing so as part of our recently announced Turbo Study seems a perfect place to start,” said Dickinson.

The carbon body is painted in Cadiz Red, and the car is equipped with improved suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. Inside, there are sports electrically adjustable carbon seats with fabric. The fabric can also be seen on the door panels. In front of the passenger on the dashboard is a “Singer” inscription.

Under the hood is the engine from his first reimagined 911 Turbo Study. It is an air-cooled 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine with 510 hp (375 kW), which is 60 hp (44 kW) more than the first delivered Singer 911 Turbo in the Touring edition. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Also on offer will be an engine with 450 hp (330 kW), and AWD as an option.

Mercedes has revealed the interior of the new EQE SUV

While we are waiting for the official presentation of Mercedes’ electric SUV, Mercedes-Benz EQE, the German company tickled the imagination of its fans by showing the interior of this model.

When entering the cabin, the first thing the driver will notice is a full-length MBUX Hyperscreen with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a central 17.7-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger-side screen. The design is similar to that of the EQE 350 sedan. The seats are upholstered in brown and gray leather, which can also be seen on the door panels, the steering wheel, and the upper part of the dashboard. Also, a combination of old and new materials, glass, leather, wood and 3D finishing of aluminum details were used.

When it comes to the powertrain, it is expected that the new Mercedes SUV will be powered by two electric motors. There are two options and the first is the Mercedes-AMG EQE43 drive with 476 hp (350 kW) and 633 lb-ft (858 Nm) of torque. That’s enough power to reach 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph (210 km / h). The second option is the more powerful Mercedes-AMG EQE53 engine with 625 hp (460 kW) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 137 mph (220 km/h). Both models are equipped with a 90.6 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 321 miles (518 kilometers).

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV will have its world premiere on October 16.

David Coulthard drove a two-seater F1 car on the streets of Leipzig

Recently, David Coulthard drove a Formula 1 car (legally) through the streets of Leipzig unlike others who illegally drive Formula GP2 on the highway. It’s a Tyrrell F1 car, in Red Bull Racing colors, with a V10 engine and two seats, and the second passenger was RB Leipzig footballer Emil Forsberg.

“This was an incredible experience for me, I drove through the streets of Leipzig with David Coulthard in a Formula 1 car. Maybe this is something that can be experienced only once in a lifetime. The feeling and the sound of the car is madness,” said Forsberg.

Red Bull is currently doing a worldwide promotion, and before Coulthard, world F1 champions Max Verstappen did the same when he drove artist Fabio Wibmer at the Red Bull Ring. However, Max is still a driver in the Formula 1 championship so Coulthard took over the role of two-seater driver. For those who don’t know, Red Bull is a sponsor of RB Leipzig (RB- Red Bull).

Red Bull has booked a Tyrrell F1 car for the whole year. The car is powered by a V10 engine with around 750 hp, which is not even close to the current F1 cars that deliver around 1,050 hp, but it is more than the 620 hp that a Formula GP2 car has.

The driver and the footballer stopped at several popular locations in Leipzig, accompanied by the Minardi technical team.
