Mercedes AMG vs BMW vs Audi vs Porsche

If there are Mercedes-AMG E63 S, BMW M5 CS, Audi RS6 and Porsche Panamera Turbo S, who has a better chance? Well, “Battle of the beasts on wheels” is what the guys from Carwow are preparing for us.

The Mercedes-AMG E63 S is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 612 hp (450 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox with multi clutches. With a weight of 2,010 kg, it reaches 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph (300 kph). The price is around $ 132,000 (£ 99,565).

The BMW M5 CS is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 635 hp (467 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. As the lightest of all four models (1,825 kg), it reaches 62 mph in 3 seconds with a top speed of 189 mph (305 kph). It has an eight-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive. It costs about $ 185,000 (£ 140,000).

The Audi RS6 is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 600 hp (441 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. It has an eight-speed automatic gearbox and AWD. Weighing 2,075 kg, it reaches 62 mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph (306 kph). It costs about $ 130,000 (£ 98,280).

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S is powered by a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor that delivers a total of 700 hp (515 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. It is the heaviest of all four cars (2,365 kg), reaching 62 mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph (315 kph). Power is transmitted to all wheels via an eight-speed automatic PDK gearbox. It costs about $ 191,000 (£ 144,930).

At 1/4 mile in “zero to hero” acceleration, the BMW M5 CS proved to be the fastest with 10.9 seconds. Second place went to the Porsche Panamera Turbo S with 11.3 seconds, slightly slower was the Mercedes AMG E63 S with 11.4 seconds, while the Audi RS6 was last with 11.7 seconds.

How did they pass the other tests? Well, watch the video!

1991 BMW E30 M3 Convertible sold for $ 100,000

Since 1985, when the first M3 model was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW has so far produced more than 18,000 examples of the E30 M3, of which less than 800 are Convertible. One such example, a 1991 BMW E30 M3 convertible, was sold in Irvine (California) for $ 100,000.

The car is equipped with heated front seats, electronic windows, M steering wheel and gear lever. It has the original documentation including the service book. The tires as well as the oil have recently been changed. It is in good condition, considering that it is a 30-year-old car with 81,300 miles (130,906 km).

Inside, there are M Tech fabric upholstery in combination with gray leather on the side supports, door panel parts and dashboard. Minor traces of use can be seen, which is negligible.

The BMW E30 M3 Convertible is powered by a 2.3-liter naturally aspirated inline-four engine with 215 hp (158 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.

26 Alpine A110 cars for the French police

Two months ago, it was announced that an agreement had been signed between Alpine and the French Ministry of the Interior, according to which the car company would deliver 26 Alpine A110 cars to the French police.

The Alpine A110 will be used by gendarmerie forces that maintain security in cities of up to 20,000 inhabitants, and the photos show what the first two delivered cars look like in the role of police cars.

Police cars are equipped with 18-inch wheels, instead of the standard 17-inch ones, which indicates that there is a slightly more powerful engine under the hood. In that case, the car will be powered by a boosted Renault Mégane RS turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 hp (221 kW) and 251 lb-ft (340 Nm) of torque. This is significantly more power as the standard model has 252 hp (185 kW) and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 171 mph (275 kph). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
