Naran Automotive has announced details about the supercar that will appear in May 2021. It is a supercar inspired by the GT3 series with a front-mounted engine that develops 1,034 hp. The car is designed to be a worthy rival to McLaren Speedtail and Aston Martin Vulcan.
With a traditional supercar design, a low front end and a large rear spoiler, the Naran body is made of carbon fiber and natural linen making this car lighter than 1,500kg.
To keep production costs lower, Naran Automotive has partnered with BMW whose engine, chassis and electricity it uses as a base for its new hypercar.
Unlike many other supercars, the Naran engine is mounted forward instead of backward. The engine is located behind the front axle, not directly above it. This achieves an even weight distribution. The company said the wings aren’t just there for looks but for Naran to create 1,377kg of downforce, which is more compared to a GT3 race car.
Naran has a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 1,034 hp and 764 lb-ft of torque. Accelerates from 0-60 mph in less than 2.3 seconds.
A Safari version with the same body, but with a slightly different suspension is also expected. Also, with larger wheel arches and a slightly different version of the standard all-wheel drive.
Production of this model will be limited to only 49 unites. Also, the company has already made a plan to produce an additional 59 unites. Each will be unique according to the wishes of the owner.
