2009 Mercedes-AMG SL65 Black Series is up for auction

In 2008, Mercedes-AMG unveiled the Black Series version of the SL 65 AMG. It was produced until 2011 and this limited edition was reproduced in only 350 copies. One of them, the 2009 Mercedes-AMG SL65 Black Series is up for auction.

This Mercedes-AMG SL65 Black Series 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-12 engine with 661 hp (486 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a SpeedShift Plus five-speed automatic transmission. It reaches 62 mph in 3.8 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h). It is mounted on 19″ and 20″ light-alloy wheels wrapped in 265/35R19 front and 325/30R20 rear tires.

The car is finished in Palladium Silver, well maintained and in good condition with only 835 miles on the odometer. It is equipped with panels made of plastic reinforced with carbon fibers, fixed roof instead of the convertible hard-top, retractable spoiler made of carbon fibers, suspension fettled by motorsport, AMG aluminum rims. It has a steering wheel on the left side. Adding to the overall appeal is the stunning Black Nappa leather and Alcantara interior.

This car is a good opportunity for collectors to expand their collections with another exceptional car, given the rarity of this model. In 2022, the owner installed new boot struts, and replaced the engine oil and filter.

The Mercedes-AMG SL65 Black Series comes with a Mercedes-Benz operating manual and service book, and is being offered at RM Sotheby’s auction with an estimated value of £275,000 – £325,000 GBP.

1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is for sale

In 1994, Porsche presented the final and best incarnation of the air-cooled 911 (993), an ideal blend of technology and classic 911 heritage. It was produced until 1997, and 14,541 cars left the production lines. One of them, the 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is up for auction.

This 911 Carrera Coupe is powered by an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six with 270 hp (200 kW) and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. It reaches 60 mph in 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h). It is mounted on 18″ Speedline-style wheels wrapped in Advan tires.

The car was repainted in Riviera Blue by The Works Auto Body of Santa Clara in 2022, has been properly maintained and is in good condition. It is equipped with front and rear spoilers, a body-color roll bar, RS-style door panels, Carrera RS rear decklid badging, Turbo S-style fog lights, red Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, H&R coilover suspension and an aftermarket front strut brace.

Inside, the Recaro seats are covered in black leather, which also covers the door panels and the dashboard. An RS-style three-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in black leather, and behind it is a six-digit odometer reading 66,657 miles. Additional equipment includes blue seat belts, Titan Motorsports body-color roll bar instead of rear seats, Pioneer head unit, RS-style carpets, air conditioning, a fire extinguisher, Sullivan Racing Products pedals, and a Rennline driver-side aluminum floorboard.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with a California title.

The auction ends on September 11th and the current highest bid is $89,500 USD.

1960 Porsche 356B Roadster is up for auction

In 1960, Porsche premiered the second version of its most popular model with the T5 body type, the Porsche 356B Roadster. It was produced until 1963, and 30,963 cars left the production line, of which 2,902 were Roadsters. One of them, a 1960 Porsche 356B Roadster is up for auction.

This 356B Roadster is powered by a modified 1,720cc air-cooled flat-four engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The seller said that a service was done which included adjusting the carburetors and valves, replacing the battery and performing an oil change.

The car is finished in Royal Blue, has been properly maintained and is in good condition. It is equipped with a black soft top with a matching top boot, body-color bumpers with chrome overriders, driving lamps, four-wheel finned drum brakes. In 2010, the car was refurbished by Apex Classique of Lakewood, which included replacing the front and rear decklids.

Inside, the low-back bucket seats are covered in gray vinyl that also covers the door panels. In front of the driver is a three-spoke steering wheel behind which is a five-digit odometer showing 416 miles, the distance traveled since the renovation. Total mileage is unknown. Additional equipment includes lap belts for both occupants, black rubber floor linings, passenger grab handle, a sliding rearview mirror, roll-up windows, and map pockets.

Porsche 356B Roadster comes with a tonneau cover, a copy of the Kardex, and a Texas title.

The auction ends on September 16 and the current highest bid is $100,000 USD.
