2025 Alpine A110 R Ultime ‘La Bleue’

The A110 R Ultime is another version of Alpine’s sports car based on the A110 R model. It is an all-electric car that the French manufacturer presented at the Paris Motor Show and will cost 265,000 euros.

This version of the sports coupe will be produced in 110 units and is powered by a 2.0-L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 350 hp (257 kW) and 309 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. That means it has 50 hp and 80 Nm more than the A110 R on which it is based.

The car is equipped with a special aero package that raises the performance of the car to a higher level. These include new splitters, fins, a large rear wing, bonnet vents, and flicks, which make the car even more agile on corner entry, cornering and acceleration. Alpine claims that this car reaches 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, which is 0.1 second faster than the previous model with Launch Control.

“The road holding work carried out had a clear objective: further improving the car’s performance. Thanks to a successful blend of agility and performance, the A110 R Ultime is a genuine road-legal circuit car,” said Alpine.

On the photos is the A110 R Ultime ‘La Bleue’ version which will be produced in just 15 units and is the pinnacle of the A110 range. It is the most expensive Alpine car ever and costs 330,000 euros.

2025 BYD Sealion 7 is coming to Europe

After unveiling a new hatchback, the Seal 06 GT, two months ago, the Chinese manufacturer BYD continues its expansion into the European market with its new all-electric SUV, the Sealion 7.

Sealion 7 was premiered in China in November last year, and on the European market it should be a major competitor to the Tesla Model Y. It is based on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform and features BYD’s well-known design language. The headlights and intakes on the bumper show that this car is not very different in design from the Seal U SUV. Also, the falling roofline that merges with the full-length LED taillights is reminiscent of the Seal sedan.

The interior is similar to that of the Seal sedan, but with a slightly different dashboard design. It is equipped with soft vegan leather that covers over 80% of the interior, comfortable premium quilted Nappa leather seats, a 15.6″ rotating touchscreen and a new steering wheel, while the digital cockpit and center console are taken from the BYD Seal sedan.

This SUV is the eighth EV of the Chinese company that is part of the Ocean Series, and the version that will be offered in Europe will be powered by two electric motors. In China, the Sealion 7 has 530 hp (390 kW) and the 82.56 kWh battery provides a range of 550 km (340 mi).

The first deliveries should start at the end of October 2024.

2025 Mini JCW Cooper and Aceman

At the Paris Motor Show, Mini premiered two all-electric JCW models, the Mini Cooper and the Aceman. These are the most powerful EVs of the British brand and will be produced in China.

Both models are built on the same platform and are powered by an electric motor positioned above the front axle with 258 hp (189 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. This means that they are 40 hp and 20 Nm more powerful than the previous most powerful all-electric Mini. However, using the boost function, the engine power is briefly increased to 285 hp (209 kW). The Mini Cooper reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.9 seconds and the Aceman in 6.4 seconds.

Thanks to the 54.2 kWh battery, the Cooper has a range of up to 404 kilometers on a single charge, while the Aceman has a slightly shorter range of 391 kilometers. The battery is charged from 10 to 80 percent on fast chargers in less than half an hour.

European buyers can expect their cars from April next year.
