CUPRA Born

As part of the strategy until 2025, CUPRA plans to produce its first fully electric car. It is a CUPRA Born model.

The model will be presented at the end of the year, and several versions of the design already exist. The car will be based on the VW Group MEB-Lite platform which is under development.

Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (DCC Sport) allows CUPRA Born to adapt to all conditions providing superior driving pleasure.

The interior of the car is a combination of modern technology and high quality materials.

Wayne Griffiths, CUPRA CEO said: “CUPRA Born displays all the genes of the CUPRA brand and we have taken the original concept to the next level creating a new sporty and dynamic design and reengineering the technological content. CUPRA Born is the living proof that performance and electrification are a great match. ”

The company is in talks with the Spanish government over the development of charging infrastructure for electric cars.

The focus of CUPRA’s engineers was to accelerate the car from 0-50 km / h in 2.9 seconds. Thanks to the 77kWh battery, one charge allows the car to cover a distance of 500 km. A 30-minute charge is enough to cover a distance of 260 km.

The car will be produced at the Zwickau plant in Germany.

Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo

Three years ago, Porsche introduced the first all-electric Taycan, the Mission E Cross Turismo. Today, Porsche is finishing production of a more practical version of the crossover, the Taycan Cross Turismo.

Porsche has released a video showing the pre-production test model driven by Stefan Weckbach, head of Porsche’s all-electric Taycan program.

Compared to its predecessor, the Cross Turismo has better suspension and a greater distance between the floor and the ground, which allows it to better master different surfaces. The new model has more luggage space compared to the previous model.

It is assumed that the car will have the same engine as the 4S model. Weckbach states that the new model offers more space in the rear seats, which indicates that the Cross Turismo has a larger wheelbase compared to its predecessor.

For more information, we will have to wait for the official presentation of the new Taycan , which should happen in the coming weeks.
