2026 Kia EV2 Concept

South Korean automaker Kia has unveiled its new concept, announcing the next step in Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy, the Kia EV2. This all-electric car will be one of the most affordable electric crossovers on the market, and the production version will arrive in 2026.

The EV2 concept features sleek body lines and a set of claw-shaped headlights, as well as an additional set of daytime running lights. The taillights are positioned slightly lower than on other Kia models, but are also more rounded. Inside, Kia hasn’t gone overboard, keeping the same combination of dashboard and infotainment screen that takes up almost half the length of the front panel, as seen on the EV3.

When it comes to the powertrain, Kia is still keeping a lot under wraps, so we’ll have to wait for full specifications. However, what we do know for now is that the EV2 will be based on the same 400-volt E-GMP platform as the Kia EV3 and EV4. Some believe it will be equipped with an electric motor with 204 hp, as well as 58.3 or 81.4 kWh batteries. However, a cheaper 43.3 kWh LFP battery is also an option, which is the same as the PV5 model.

Speaking of price, the Kia EV2 is expected to cost around 30,000 euros.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and Koenigsegg Jesko Attack head-to-head at 1/4 mile

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack are high-performance supercars that are the pride of their manufacturers. However, if you were wondering who is faster in the 1/4 mile, the guys at CarWow have the answer. They put these two cars on the line and created a fierce battle.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Attack is powered by a 5.0-L twin-turbo V8 engine with 1,280hp (1,600hp on E85) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque, paired with a 9-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST) that sends power to the rear wheels. That’s enough to propel the 1,420-pound car to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.3 seconds.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport has a bit more power than its rival. It is powered by an 8.0-L quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,600 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque with launch control, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to all four wheels. It weighs 1,995 kilograms.

In the first race, the Chiron Super Sport flew like a rocket through the 1/4 mile, leaving the Jesko Attack far behind. The reason for the Jesko Attack’s bad start was a problem with the traction control, so they repeated the race. In the second attempt, the Jesko Attack was much better and kept up with the Chiron Super Sport, but in the photo finish, the Bugatti was still faster.

In the rolling race starting at 10 mph, the Jesko Attack had a better start, but after a few seconds the Bugatti’s power came to the fore. It crossed the 1/4 mile line first and continued to increase its lead to the finish (1/2 mile).

In the race starting at 100 km/h in third gear, the Jesko Attack did what the Bugatti did in the first race. It took off like a rocket and maintained its lead until the finish (1/2 mile). In the braking test at 150 km/h, the Bugatti was better.

In this battle, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport was the winner, but it should be noted that the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack did not use E85 fuel, which increases its power to 1,600 hp.

Xiaomi YU7 interior photos

After the success of its first car, the SU7, in December 2024 Xiaomi announced the launch of its second all-electric car, the YU7. The car will hit the market in the summer of 2025, and before the official presentation, we know what the interior will look like.

Spy photos show a cabin made of premium materials, leather in purple and brown. The driver’s seat has an electronic footrest, which increases comfort on long trips. There is also a Panoramic Head-Up Display (PHUD) instead of a traditional dashboard, a center console with an infotainment screen, slightly smaller than the one in the SU7, with Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system that offers easy integration with other Xiaomi devices.

In front of the driver is an elegant and functional steering wheel, covered in Alcantara and carbon fiber, which has physical buttons for easy access to key functions. There is also a red “Boost Mode” button for rapid power delivery, i.e. even better performance, and there is a button to activate advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Additional equipment includes wireless chargers, electronic door handles, a discreet LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof that clearly signals that the YU7 will offer advanced autonomous driving capabilities.

The YU7 will be 4,999 mm long, 1,996 mm wide and 1,600 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm and a weight of 2,405 kg. It is not known which battery it will use, but information suggests that it could be one of the batteries from CATL.
