2024 Mitsuoka Ryugi

The Japanese car manufacturer, Mitsuoka Motor, presented its new project, Ryugi, with the soul of Toyota Corolla. This company is known for making unique cars with unconventional styling, some of which are modern while others imitate the look of American, European and particularly British retro cars of the 1950s and 1960s.

Mitsuoka Ryugi has been around for ten years, and in its new edition it brings several visual changes and additional equipment. The exterior design of the car resembles a combination of British classic cars from the middle of the last century. Price, between 20,300 and 27,200 dollars.

Under the bonnet is a 1.5 liter gasoline engine combined with a hybrid system, paired with a five-speed manual and CVT transmission that works independently or with the hybrid system.

The car is offered as a sedan and wagon, under which the previous generation Toyota Corolla (E160) with JDM specifications is hidden. This model is still produced as the Corolla Axio sedan and the Corolla Fielder wagon, although a new generation arrived on the market six years ago. The interior is mostly taken from the Corolla, with the Mitsuoka logo added to the steering wheel and seats.

2025 Suzuki Vitara

In 1988, Suzuki introduced a series of SUVs known as the Suzuki Vitara, which in Japan and in many other markets used the name Suzuki Escudo. Since then, four generations and several redesigns of this model have arrived on the market, and now the Japanese manufacturer has introduced a redesigned edition of the fourth generation.

Although Suzuki has started developing electric cars, they still want to keep ICEs. The reason is the demand, which the Vitara SUV still has after more than 9 years since the fourth generation arrived on the market. This does not mean that Suzuki will produce a fifth generation, but a redesigned edition of the current fourth generation Vitara has been revealed.

The refreshed Vitara is equipped with a new front bumper and a large black grille that reveals the car’s sportier look, while the fog lamp housings and double grill molding have been removed. The design of the rear part has not been changed. The offer also includes a wide range of body colors such as Titan gray and Sphere blue, as well as a larger offer of 17″ aluminum wheels.

Inside, the refreshed edition comes with the Suzuki Connect infotainment system with a new 9-inch touchscreen, USB and Wifi connectivity, and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also an advanced driver-assistance system, which will make driving safer.

When it comes to the powertrain, there are still two MHEV hybrid engines. The first option is a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine with 116 hp (86 kW) and 115 lb-ft (156 Nm) of torque, up from its predecessor’s 102 hp (76 kW). The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, but it should be noted that a 6-speed automatic transmission is now also available. Another option is a 1.4-liter BoosterJet turbo gasoline engine with 140 hp (103 kW) and 162 lb-ft (220 Nm) of torque. Buyers will also be able to choose between FWD or AWD.

Bus landed on the roof of a Porsche 911 (997)

In Fügen, Austria, a bizarre accident took place where a bus hit several parked vehicles, completely destroying a Porsche 911 (997).

According to the report of the Austrian ORF, the accident happened in one of the parking lots where the bus suddenly began to slide backwards, hitting several vehicles until it stopped on the roof of the Porsche, which was parked on a lower level, so the damage was inevitable. Luckily, the vehicles were empty so no one was hurt.

It is unknown what caused the uncontrolled sliding of the bus, but it is assumed that it could be a brake problem. In this accident, the right side of the VW SUV was completely damaged, while the BMW station wagon, which was on the right side, can be said to have been lucky because the photos show no damage.

When it comes to the estimated value of the damage, it is impossible to say with certainty how much the driver (company) will have to pay, but it is certain that it will not be cheap. The Porsche 911 (997) is not one of the most expensive cars, but the prices of this model vary from several tens of thousands to over 100,000 euros.
