Tesla Model S Convertible

The Italian company Ares Design has transformed the four-door Tesla Model S into a two-door Convertible. This work was done for a client who entrusted his Model S.

Ares Design has cut off the roof of the electric sedan, which compromises the rigidity of the chassis. The chassis is additionally reinforced on the sides, under the cockpit and the rear seating area. The rear doors have been removed to make enough room for a larger front door. Also, the appearance of the exterior and interior has changed.

The seats are covered with hand-stitched white leather upholstery with orange details. The rear seats are specifically designed to fit between the front seats and the new rear deck cover.

Ares CEO said: “At Ares, our co-create philosophy allows clients to work side by side with our designers and engineers to create their very own bespoke vehicle. This Tesla project is a superb example of this. ”

Technical details of what was done with the Model S have not been revealed.

This Model S is a unique makeover, and its owner didn’t want to reveal how much it cost.

Cupra Formentor

ABT Sportsline tuned the Cupra Formentor, making the car lower and faster.

The Formentor is a model from the Volkswagen Group that underwent ABT treatment after the same was done last year with the Audi Q5 55 TFSIe whose power has been increased to 419 hp. The same is done with the high-performance Audi RS4 station wagon.

The crossover will be available in two hybrid versions, as well as a gasoline engine. Its 2.0-liter TSI engine instead of the previous 310 hp and 400 Nm of torque, now has 370 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The extra power comes from a module called “Abt Engine Control”. Formentor accelerates from 0-62 mph in 4.6 seconds, instead of the previous 4.9 seconds.

The company will optionally fit 20-inch alloy wheels. Earlier this year, the company will also add a new version of the exhaust system with four 10.2-inch tailpipes.

The Formentor has a new active suspension and springs which allows the vehicle to be lowered by 35mm for a more aggressive stance.

ABT is expected to work on the new Cupra Leon in the coming period.

Maserati GranCabrio MC

The GranCabrio MC is the natural evolution of the high performance GranCabrio. With a soft top simulating the design of a streamlined coupe, Maserati technicians introduced a series of changes for the GranCabrio aimed at enhancing the cars aerodynamic efficiency.

The front is dominated by the traditional oval grille featuring black vertical slats and a Trident with red trims in the center. The spoiler and front air intakes give the front an even more muscular look, and together with slots on the front wings and the side skirts, combine to extract hot air from the braking system and deliver downforce to the entire car, without increasing drag.

The rear is equally exciting, proposing a higher, more centrally positioned exhaust, with the lower edge of the bumper guaranteeing enhanced extraction of airflow from the undercarriage. The spoiler incorporates the third stop light and is designed to produce downforce at high speeds.

The new headlights come in a spacious matte black, while the rear lights, with LED lamps, have an exclusive finish. The dynamic look of the GranCabrio MC is enhanced by 20-inch MC Design wheels, offered in Titanio lucido or Grafite opaco finishes.

The new sports front seats with integral headrests are a combination of aesthetics and functionality which ensure comfortable seating and good posture support even at high speeds. The seats come standard in perforated Alcantara leather, and a full-leather version is available. Completing the racy look of the interior, parts of the panels are upholstered an Alcantara, clearly drawing on the trim level of racing cars, including the instrument binnacle, the central armrest, the door panel armrests/handles, the middle of the dashboard and the central tunnel.

Maserati GranCabrio has a 4.7-litre V8 engine that delivers 460 hp and 520 Nm of torque. Accelerates from 0-62 mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 179 mph.
