Chad Nasir has a collection of 24 Land Cruisers

Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the best-selling cars in the world with almost half a million units sold annually, so it is to be expected that there are those who are obsessed with this model of the Japanese brand. One of them is Chad Nasir from Michigan who bought 24 Land Cruisers in less than a year and a half.

Nasir was born in a part of the world (Libya) where Land Cruisers had a high status and only wealthy people owned them. As a boy, he dreamed that one day he would be able to afford such a car. This happened after he moved to the USA with his family as a refugee.

In the beginning, his plan was not to own so many cars. But after buying the first two examples (2013 and 2015 Land Cruiser, with American specifications) Nasir wanted more. Today, Nasir has a Series 70 pickup from Saudi Arabia in his collection, as well as a host of Series 80 models. The collector has been buying one to two Land Cruisers a month for the past 15 months and has no plans to stop. On some examples, the odometer shows more than 320,000 kilometers, while on some it shows “only” 100,000 kilometers.

Of course, this number of cars requires a lot of money, but also a large garage, which Nasir has. He is the owner of Midnight Protective Films, which provides services for applying ceramic protection to cars, as well as window and body films.
