The Aston Martin Bowmore Edition is a limited edition version of the DBX SUV, created in partnership with Bowmore Distillery. The exclusive DBX pays homage to Bowmore Scotch whiskey, and production will be limited to just 18 examples.
Inside, the DBX has undergone a series of aesthetic changes inspired by the distillery. The dashboard and center console contain details with copper foil, while the cupholders and unique sill plates made from recycled copper.
Upholstery options, Obsidian and a combination of Coper Tan and Obsidian are also available. Each car comes with an array of edition-specific accessories, including a tweed picnic basket and a leather holdall bag.
Cosmetic changes over the standard DBX include optional black brake calipers, smoked alloy wheels and new copper-coloured inlays for the SUV’s side strakes. The SUV’s bodywork is painted in a unique color named Bowmore Blue, though buyers can alternatively order Xenon Grey.
“The Aston Martin and Bowmore brands share the same vision of creating timeless beauty and a lasting legacy, loyal to their heritage but also embracing new methods and this is reflected in the DBX Bowmore edition,” said Marek Reichman, Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer.
Like the standard DBX, the Bowmore Edition is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 542 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque (700 Nm). The Bowmore Edition accelerates from 0 – 62 mph in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 181 mph. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and power is transmitted to all four wheels.
Each car will cost £ 219,950. The first deliveries are expected at the end of next year.
