On the 60th anniversary of the E-Type sports car, Jaguar has prepared a special version of this model called the F-Type Heritage 60 Edition.
The exterior is adorned with glossy black and chrome details “inspired by heritage”, 20-inch black alloy wheels and black brake calipers.
The interior has also been changed, upholstered in Caraway and Ebony Windsor leather in two tones. There are E-Type 60th logos on the headrests. There’s also an aluminium console finisher inspired by the E-Type’s rear -view mirror casing. There are also special carpet mats, commissioning plaque and commemorative badging.
Each car of the special model will be made at Jaguar Land Rover’s Castle Bromwich plant, and the finishing is left to XV Bespoke personalization experts doing their job in Warwickshire, and coupes and convertible versions will be on offer.
The F-Type Heritage 60 Edition is based on the F-Type R model which is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine. This engine develops 567 hp and power is transmitted to all four wheels. The Type R accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, with top speed electronically limited to 186 mph. A prominent change to the exterior is the Sherwood green color used in the original color palette of the first E-Type model. This color has not been on offer since the 1960s.
Only 60 examples will be offered for sale globally, excluding China. Speaking of price, the 2021 F-type R ranges from $ 104,350 for the coupe and $ 107,050 for the convertible.
Jaguar’s Classic operation will build six matched pairs of restored 3.8-litre E-Types. They’re based on the original prototype cars – with nameplates 77RW and 9600HP.
