After a long wait, the hybrid Ferrari 296 GTB has finally been introduced. It is a powerful V6 model that will find its place above the F8 Tributo.
The 296 GTB is powered by a 3.0-liter Turbo V6 engine with 654 hp and an electric motor with 165 hp, for a total of 818 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph (330 km / h). The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The electric motor is powered by a 7.45 kWh battery that produces enough power for a range of 16 miles (25 kilometers).
The exterior of the Ferrari 296 GTB is similar to the SF90 model, but also to the racing Ferrari models from the 60s. The car features large side vents, an active rear spoiler that ensures better traction when driving at higher speeds.
Inside, in the center is a digital interface with most of the instruments concentrated on the driver’s side. Two seats of perfect workmanship which, with the instrument panel and steering wheel, complete the interior design.
The weight of the 296 GTB is 1,470 kg (3241 lbs), which is 35 kg more than the F8 Tributo and 75 kg more than the McLaren Arthur. The optional Assetto Fiorano package, which includes carbon body parts, a composite rear screen, carbon fiber rims, allows for weight reduction of the car.
