Drag races are very popular, and for the end of the year Top Gear has prepared a real treat, a race between Ford Fiesta WRC, Formula 1 car and Formula E. To make it more interesting, the race was held on asphalt soaked in water.

The DS Automobiles Formula E car is fully electric with 338 hp (250 kW) powered by a 54 kWh battery. With a weight of 903 kg, it reaches 62 mph in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 143 mph (230 km / h).

The Ford Fiesta WRC is powered by a turbocharged 1.6 L Ford EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine with 380 hp (280 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed sequential manual transmission. With a weight of 1,190kg, it reaches 62 mph in 4 seconds with a top speed of more than 124 mph (200 km / h).

The Mercedes AMG Formula 1 W10 EQ Power + is powered by a 1.6 L V6 engine that, combined with an electric motor, develops a total of 1,000 hp (735 kW). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed sequential transmission. It weighs only 743 kg and reaches 60 mph in approximately 2.6 seconds with a top race speed of 223 mph (360 km / h).

Let’s get back to the race. The bast start had the Ford Fiesta WRC, which was the leader half of the race. But then the Formula 1 car showed the best it knows. Leaves them all far behind and crosses the line first.
