HondaJet Elite II

HondaJet Elite II

Japanese car manufacturer Honda has entered the world of aviation. At the recently held European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland, it presented the HondaJet Elite II aircraft. The company says that it is the best plane in its class.

The aircraft has a composite body and is powered by two GE Honda HF120 engines. Elite II can easily take off from runways 1,128 meters long and has a range of 2,865 km. Honda says that the plane has the largest cabin in its class, enough for six passengers, and that it is the most economical.

When it comes to the interior, customers can choose between Onyx or Steel design, both of which feature an “executive club” configuration with two-tone leather seats that can be adjusted for maximum comfort. The plane is equipped with Bongiovi aviation sound system, which makes the passenger experience better.

It is equipped with the Garmin G3000 package and automated systems for ice, lighting and pressure. In addition, the Elite II will be offered with the Emergency Autoland function, which “automatically controls and lands the aircraft without human intervention.” The system is designed to rescue passengers in a situation where the pilot is unable to do so. The volume of the luggage space is 1,756 liters.

Honda has been certified by the US Space Administration for aviation, and is expecting certification from the European Union’s Aviation Safety Agency.
