1971 LAMBORGHINI MIURA P400 S

Auction house RM Sotheby has announced the sale of the legendary 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 S. During the production period, the Miura has retained its basic look with some performance improvements.

Everything is known about this car. From its appearance in the 60s until today, this legendary model is known as one of the most beautiful cars.

The Lamborghini Miura is powered by a 3.9-liter V12 engine with 365 hp at 7,000 rpm and 286 lb-ft (388 Nm) of torque. Power to the rear wheels is transmitted with a five-speed manual transmission. It reaches 60 mph in 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 171 mph (276 km / h).

The designer of this timeless car is Marcello Gandini. The car, which had been gathering dust for four decades after the accident, was restored by Beckman Metal Works. With independent suspension and an aggressive stance, the Miura was the future of high performance.

From 1971 until this day, the car had three owners and the first was an Iranian student. With just under 16,000 miles (26,000 kilometers) driven, according to the odometer, the Miura has original Pirelli GR70VR15 Cinturato CN73 tires and a PPG paint label.

Only 50 copies have been made, and this is one of them (chassis 4761). The Lamborghini Miura is offered at a price between 1.8 and 2 million dollars, without reserves.
