MG Maze by SAIC Design

MG Maze

London-based design studio SAIC Design has unveiled the concept of a compact city electric car made for gamers. It is a partner of MG Motor, which with MG Maze wants to make electric cars fun to drive.

At first glance, it can be concluded that the car is intended for a new generation of drivers. This concept is currently only in digital form, with which SAIC Desing wanted to turn the gaming scenario into a car form. The layout, details, color material are all driven by this idea to help connect and build a community around a mobility activity.

Raising the glass dome is a way to get into the car. Inside, there are two seats, a controller like the one for video games and a screen, which makes the Maze look more like a personal gaming setup than a conventional car.

The size of the car suggests its handling and agility in the city, and the glass dome needs significantly less space when opened than standard side doors.

MG Maze is currently only in the form of a design, so there are no details about the platform. It is designed with more electric motors and a replaceable battery, but there are no details about the potential performance yet.
