Ferrari refused to use autonomous driving

Autonomous driving is not something new, in fact several companies, such as Tesla, offer cars with this option. All this would not be possible without the IT industry, which strives in every way to improve our lives. This is exactly what happened to Ferrari, which refused to use autonomous driving in its cars.

We know we live in a time of technology, but some things are simply incompatible. So a group of IT experts insisted on holding a meeting with Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna to convince him that autonomous driving is exactly what Ferrari needs. However, to their surprise, Vigna did not show interest in such a thing. In fact, he offered them a ride in their super car, after which they said, “OK Benedetto, our presentation is useless”. That was enough for IT experts to understand why Ferrari is one of the biggest brands in the world.

This does not mean that Ferrari will give up electrification of its models. No matter what we think about it, it is destiny. Ferrari will not give up internal combustion engines either. “I believe the internal combustion engine has a lot to give,” Vigna said.

Ferrari’s plans are to electrify 60 percent of its cars by 2026, and to become carbon-neutral by the end of the decade.

Pagani Huayra Codalunga limited edition

Italian carmaker Pagani has unveiled a special car, the Huayra Codalunga. It is a limited edition of a car that collectors insisted on. Pagani will produce only five copies of this model, and each will cost more than 7 million euros.

The idea for the project arose in 2018 when collectors asked Pagani to produce a long-tail version of the Pagani Huayra Coupé, with a design like the 60s cars competing in 24 Hours of Le Mans. Now, four years later, Pagani has revealed what the Codalunga project looks like, for which five customers have set aside seven million euros each. Each car is made in cooperation with the owner.

“A client is not someone who only buys from you once. A real client comes back again and again ”- Horacio Pagani, Founder & Chief Designer, Pagani Automobili.

The car is currently in the testing phase, and lightweight materials, such as titanium and aluminum, were used in its construction. So now this hyper car weighs only 1,280 kg (2,822 lb). By presenting a limited edition Huayra Codalunga, Pagani took the opportunity to announce that a new generation of supersport car is in preparation.

When it comes to powertrain, the Pagani Huayra Codalunga is known to be powered by a centrally located 6-liter biturbo V12 engine with 840 hp (618 kW) and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed transmission.

Porsche 911 Turbo Study with 510 hp

Earlier this year, the American company Singer, introduced its first turbocharged Porsche 911 Turbo Study. The inspiration for this model was the legendary 930 Turbo with a turbocharger. Now, it’s time for another model inspired by the Porsche 930 Turbo from the G Series.

The Porsche 911 Turbo Study will be powered by an air-cooled 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine with 510 hp (375 kW), which is 60 hp (44 kW) more than the first delivered Singer 911 Turbo in the Touring edition. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

Each car will be made according to the wishes and needs of the future owner. So, compared to the first customer whose focus was on driving comfort, the second customer of the 911 Turbo Study insisted on car performance. Therefore, Singer equipped his car with additional modified suspension, so the car is now even closer to the ground. There are also highly profiled seats and carbon-ceramic brakes hidden behind green Fuchs rims.

The car is painted in Turbo Racing White with two wide green stripes that extend from the hood over the roof to the rear of the car. Inside, the carbon seats are also covered with a green pattern that can be seen on the door panels. In front of the passenger on the dashboard is a “Singer” inscription.

So far, 70 orders have been received. Also, Singer did not say how much this model will cost, but some rumors say it could reach a million dollars. Is that too much?
