Lamborghini Invencible and Lamborghini Autentica

Last year, Lamborghini announced that it would stop offering cars with a V12 engine and that the honor of being the last model powered by this type of engine would go to the Lamborghini Ultimae. However, the Italian manufacturer has decided to introduce two new cars that will be powered by a V12 engine, the Lamborghini Invencible and the Lamborghini Autentica.

Invencible is actually a coupe, while Autentica is a roadster. Both models should mark the end of an era of the internal combustion engine, before the coming hybrid era. They are built on the same platform as the Aventador, which premiered 12 years ago with the LP 700-4 model. In appearance, they resemble several models with a V12 engine, including the limited edition Reventon, whose interior design referred to the Aventador.

The unique coupe and roadster have full carbon bodies with a traditional hexagonal theme. Invencible is finished in Rosso Efesto, and Autentica in Grigio Titans color. The interior is done in a red and black combination of Rosso Alala leather and the Nero Cosmos Alcantara. There is also a minimalist dashboard without an infotainment system, but with 3D printed air vents.

Under the hood, which is taken from the Essenza SCV12, is the most powerful version of the V12 engine ever installed in a Lamborghini. It is a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 769 hp at 8,500 rpm and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed ISR gearbox. Performance details have not been released, but it should be recalled that the Ultimae reaches 62 mph in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 220 mph (355 km/h).

The price is currently unknown.

Rare 1967 Ferrari Dino 206 S for sale

In 1966, Ferrari unveiled the sports prototype Dino 206 S. 50 homologated examples of this car were needed so that Ferrari could compete in the Sport 2.0 L Group 4 category. However, Ferrari only produced 18 examples and had to continue the competition in the Prototype 2.0-liter class instead. Only two examples were fitted with the most powerful Tipo 233 engine and one of them, the 1967 Ferrari Dino 206 S, is for sale.

This car is in good condition and has chassis number 82. It was delivered to engineer Corrado Ferlain. Ferrari historian Marcel Massini researched the car’s history and discovered that it competed in several hill climbs between 1966 and 1967. After being serviced at the Ferrari factory in November 1968, the car changed hands several times before being purchased by collector Pierre Bardinon in 1979. Since then it has been part of some of the finest collections of Ferrari cars in the world. Jacques Setton bought the car in the 1980s and later sold it to a British collector. The Ferrari was then restored in Great Britain in 2003, after which it was transported to the USA.

The Ferrari Dino 206 S is powered by a 2.0L V6 engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. In 2014, the car was restored at the Ferrari factory, where it received the Red Book certificate, which confirms the originality of the chassis, engine and gearbox.

This very rare car will be auctioned between February 15th and 17th at RM Sotheby’s. The value of the car has not been estimated but is expected to reach seven figures.

2022 was the most successful year in Ferrari’s history

After Ferrari’s biggest rivals, such as Lamborghini and Porsche, announced their sales results for 2022, Ferrari too proudly announced that it had sold over 13k cars in the past twelve months, a historic result.

Ferrari 812 Special Edition

Ferrari delivered 13,221 cars to customers around the world last year, which is 2,066 more than the total number of vehicles delivered in 2021 (11,155). The car manufacturer from Maranello last year (only from increased car sales) earned 939 million euros, 106 million more than last year.

The total profit in 2022 was more than 5 billion euros, achieved through car servicing, spare parts and numerous other activities. For this year, the plans are bigger and it is expected to generate income of over 5.7 billion euros. The biggest hope is the Ferrari Purosangue, which is an extremely sought-after car, so the waiting list is two years. The first deliveries start this year.

Ferrari Purosangue is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine with 715 hp (526 kW) and 528 lb-ft (716 Nm) of torque. According to Ferrari, it will hit 62 mph in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 192 mph (310 kph). The engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox whose performance is 35 percent higher, transmitting up to 1,200 Nm in dynamic torque during gear shifts.
