Ferrari F12Berlinetta

The F12berlinetta represents the perfection of design and technology. The F12berlinetta ushers in a new generation of 12-cylinders engines with unprecedented performance, unparalleled handling and innovative design and aerodynamic.

Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre in collaboration with Pininfarina, the F12berlinetta strikes a perfect balance between maximum aerodynamic efficiency and the elegant proportions. The result is an innovative airflow system that makes this car absolutely original and unique. The F12berlinetta has low, sleek coupé lines with powerfully sculpted flanks whose contours curve and dip to channel the air flows from the bonnet.

The front of the car is dominated by an imposing grille that draws air into the engine bay to cool the V12. On either side of it are electronically-controlled guide vanes which help cool the brakes. This is an original, active aerodynamic solution as, when closed, they cut drag and, when open, guarantee optimal brake cooling. The rear of the F12berlinetta is characterised by a modern, functional reinterpretation of the Kamm tail which seamlessly integrates the two vertical fences of the rear diffuser.

F12berlinetta’s cabin design features a cutting-edge look that is understated yet sophisticated. Volumes have been reduced to a minimum to enhance sportiness and efficiency. The interior space has been optimised to ensure that the driving experience is both sporty and comfortable at once. The perfect balance between advanced technology and sophisticated, hand-crafted details of Frau’s leather interior reflects Ferrari’s DNA.

The F12berlinetta’s 200-bar, direct-injection 6262 cc 65° V12 delivers absolutely unprecedented performance for a naturally aspirated 12-cylinder engine. It has a maximum power output of 740 CV at 8250 rpm, while its specific power output is a record-breaking 118 CV/l. Responsiveness and strong pick-up is guaranteed by maximum torque of 690 Nm, 80 % at 2500 rpm. With a constant surge of power to a limit of 8700 rpm. Just as is the case with F1 engines, the V12 has very low inertia and thus revs rise very rapidly.

The seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission boosts both performance and ride comfort at once. The technology involved is based on the independent management of odd and even gears which are pre-selected using two different in-put shafts. Gear shifting time is thus zero and there is no interruption of torque delivery to the wheels. Shortened ratios have been developed for the F12berlinetta to ensure that the car’s performance can be exploited in every gear. The E-Diff3 electronic differential has also been integrated into the gearbox, helping to cut the car’s overall weight.

With a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.1 seconds , the F12berlinetta is the most high-performance car in Ferrari history.

Every time Ferrari has unveiled a new 12-cylinder sports car since 1947, something magical has happened.

Ford Mustang – Convertible or Fastback 2+2?

What will your Ford Mustang be like – family fun-in-the-sun car … full-fledged sports soft-top or luxury convertible? Or Fastback 2+2? The standard Ford Mustang Convertible equipment gives you a great head start.

A 5-ply, vinyl-bonded top (in color choice of black, white or tan) with big “zip-out” window for straight-trough ventilation. A color-keyed, stretch-taut boot to stow the top neat and trim. Deep-foam bucket seats that adjust individually. Choice of six leather-soft, all-vinyl interiors. Full carpeting. Courtesy lighting. A slick 3-speed floor shift. A quick, strong 120-hp, 200-cu.in. Six has the quality and smoothness of a 7-main-bearing crankshaft.

Take your choice of these tempting Mustang options. T-bar Cruise-O-Matic or 4-speed manual transmissions. Challenger V-8s of 200, 225 or 271 hp. Rally Pac. Power top. Front disc brakes. Tonneau cover. Power steering. Air conditioner. Power brakes. Accent body stripe (choice of three colors) and rocker panel moldings. Styled steel wheels or wire-style wheel covers-and this is just a good beginning.

Hot on the heels of one of the most successful new car introductions of all time, Ford introduces a third Mustang – the Fastback 2+2!

The Fastback 2+2 comes on bold with style you’d expect only from Europe and only at very high prices. But this one’s a Mustang, with the kind of low price Mustang’s already famous for.

Luxury with versatility comes in double handfuls. Silent-Flo Ventilation draws in a stream of fresh air wit all windows closed. In the rear, the 2-passenger deep-foam seat folds down into a 35×41 in. platform, more than tripling luggage space! The big 10-sq. ft. “skylight” window is tinted glass to cut sun glare.

A new standard 120-hp, 200-cu. in. Six is quick and strong… a quality thoroughbred, smooth as a jewel with its 7-main-bearing crankshaft. Thrifty, too, the Six is just one of many “savers” standard in Mustangs. Twice-a-Year Maintenance… self-adjusting breaks, aluminized muffler… plus all other service savings pioneered by Ford.

However you design your Mustang, you can depend on the versatility that is as much a part of Mustang as the driving fun. From the twice-daily trip to school to a gala debut at the country club, Mustang go everywhere . . . do everything!

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The new generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class embodies technology, luxury, comfort and design. Mercedes highlights the second generation of the MBUX system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) which debuts in the new S-Class.

Using cameras on the upper control panel and learning algorithms, MBUX Interior Assist recognizes and predicts passenger intentions. It does this by interpreting head directions, hand movements, and body language.

Thanks to the steering of the rear axle (optional), the S-Class is as manageable as a compact car in the city. The steering angle on the rear axle is up to ten degrees, while the turning circle is reduced to 2 meters. In the event of a side impact with another vehicle, the vehicle body can be raised thanks to the E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL suspension system (optional) within a few tenths. This is a new feature of PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side: it can reduce loads on passengers by directing impact forces towards particularly resistant structures in the lower part of the vehicle.

With a Cd of 0.22, the S-Class is one of the most aerodynamic cars in the world. Although the frontal area of the new S-Class has increased slightly to 2.5 square meters, the drag coefficient has been further reduced compared to the previous model. The product of Cd and A is 0.56 square meters, which is 200 square centimeters less than the previous model.

The S-Class has made improvements in aeroacoustics. The new model is even quieter. The high rigidity of the body provides the basis for outstanding comfort while reducing noise and vibration.

The standard S-Class is the S500 4Matic, and the upgrade is the S580 4Matic. It comes with Mercedes’ impressive 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine with the S500. It makes 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, aided by Mercedes’ EQ Boost system. The S-Class runs on a 48-volt electrical architecture that powers a number of important functions. The upgrade S580 also takes advantage of the 48-volt architecture, but it’s powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. Output is up to 496 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque for this model. Both use Mercedes’ nine-speed automatic transmission for shifting duties.
