The Porsche 911 Turbo S is one of those cars that many tuners have tried to make better with more or less success, but when one of the world’s best and specialists for Porsche cars, TechArt, takes it into his hands, the result is a true beast with 790 hp.
The tuner equipped the Porsche 911 Turbo S with the GTsport carbon package, which includes a front bumper with side wings, side skirts, side air intakes, a rear diffuser, bumper vents, a rear spoiler, a new hood, side mirrors, adaptive suspension, and a TechArt sports exhaust system with carbon ends of the exhaust pipes. There are also two sets of rims, Formula VI Race with optional carbon aero discs and Formula VII Race. Inside, a combination of leather and Alcantara covers the seats, steering wheel, dashboard, door panels and center console as well as the armrest.
When it comes to the powertrain, customers will be able to choose between two upgrade packages, the Power Kit TA092/T1.1 and the Power Kit TA092/T2.1.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S is powered by a twin-turbo 3.7-liter flat-six with 640 hp (477 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The Power Kit TA092/T1.1 package brings a remapped ECU and a power increase to 700 hp (522 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to all wheels via an 8-speed PDK transmission.
Power Kit TA092/T2.1 brings power increase to 775 hp (578 kW) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) with Gasoline Particulate Filter, or 790 hp (588 kW) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) without Gasoline Particulate Filter. Also, the top speed has been increased to 350 km/h (217 mph).
When it comes to price, TechArt did not say how much the upgrade will cost.
