Porsche 930 TAG Turbo with F1 engine

It looks like this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will be very exciting as several companies will present their projects, such as Lanzante Limited who presented two Porsche cars with F1 engines. One of them is the Porsche 930 TAG Turbo.

The car was announced back in 2018, and this one was named SJ87 after the Swedish F1 driver Stefan Johansson. It is powered by a 1.5-liter twin-turbo Porsche-TAG V6 engine. The same engine was used in the McLaren MP4/3 car at the race in Austria in 1987.

Johansson painted the car himself. It’s decorated with a few reminders from the past such as the green detailing that refers to Johansson’s helmet, while the blue and yellow represent the colors of the Swedish flag. The red and white colors pay homage to McLaren’s livery from the period when the team was sponsored by Marlboro.

Lanzante also revealed its new P1, the fourth completed HDK (High Downforce Kit) model. Paying homage to McLaren’s F1 livery of the 1980s and 1990s, the car is powered by a Lanzante version of the 4.0L Cosworth engine with 1,000 hp (735 kW) and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm) of torque.
