Porsche is temporarily suspending production

The current situation in the world is increasingly tightening the belt on the German economy. After stopping the delivery of vehicles to the Russian market, German carmakers have been forced to take drastic measures. Porsche is the first to announce that it is temporarily suspending production.

This will certainly deepen the problems with the supply of cars in the market. On the other hand, if the conflicts continue, there is a possibility that Porsche will extend the suspension of production. According to a post by Caleb J. Schroëter on his Twitter account, Porsche’s plan is to suspend production of the Panamera and Macan from March 2-11. After that, the production of Taycan (from March 2) and Cayenne (from March 7) was suspended. Production of the 718 Cayman will be suspended from March 14 and the 911 GT3 from March 17. An icon of the automotive industry, the Porsche 911 will be in production by the end of the month.

Confirming this information, a Porsche spokesman said: “In the coming days and weeks, we are working on a short-term basis and are constantly assessing the situation.”

This is a big impact on Porsche, but also on customers who expect the delivery of their vehicles. First of all, we mean the 1,100 Porsche cars destroyed in a fire on the cargo ship Felicity Ace, whose owners still don’t know when they can expect the delivery of their new cars.

We hope that this madness will end soon.
