The Volkswagen Golf R is definitely a fantastic powerful hatchback to drive, but its price is too high for many, so they find a more affordable alternative in the SEAT Leon Cupra. This is the third generation of this model, which unleashed all its power on the highway in Germany.
According to the AutoTopNL magazine, the Leon Cupra 280 reached a speed of more than 300 km/h on the highway. The video was published on the YouTube channel, and it can be seen how after several attempts the car crosses the magic limit.
The Leon Cupra 280 hit the market in 2014 and is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI turbo gasoline engine with 276 hp (203 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. However, the car in the video underwent an upgrade by the company KolbenKraft, which took its capabilities to a new level, and now the car has 520 hp (382 kW) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque.
As a reminder, the Volkswagen Golf R 20 Years Edition (Mk8), which is also the most powerful Golf in history, reaches a maximum electronically limited speed of 270 km/h (168 mph).
