1988 Ferrari Testarossa with 16K Miles is for sale

In the mid-80s at the Paris Motor Show, Ferrari premiered the successor to the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer, the Ferrari Testarossa. It was one of the most mass-produced models of the Maranello-based company. By 1996, less than 10,000 cars had left the production lines. One of them, a 1988 Ferrari Testarossa, is up for sale. There is currently a lien on the car, and the seller’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the new owner.

The car is in good condition, finished in Rosso Corsa and has been well maintained. It is equipped with pop-up headlights, fog lights, an asymmetric cooling duct under the left fog light, side intake slats, black skid plates, quad exhaust outlets, power windows and a set of Silver 16-inch five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 225/50 (front ) and 255/50 (rear) BFGoodrich g-Force Sport tires. The odometer reads 16,206 miles.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in Crema Connolly leather, which can also be seen on the door panels and dashboard, while the three-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in black leather. Additional equipment includes a gated shifter located on the center console alongside controls for the air conditioning and rear window defroster.

Ferrari Testarossa is powered by a 4.9L flat-12 engine with 380 hp (283 kW) and 356 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. It reaches 62 mph in 6.1 seconds with a top speed of 181 mph (291 km/h).

The current owner bought the car in 2015 and since then the timing belt, tensioner bearing, ignition-system components, drive belts, gaskets, seals, filters, clutch assembly have been replaced. Last year the ignition modules and air conditioning receiver/drier were replaced.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with manufacturer’s literature, service records and a clean New York title.

The auction ends on December 5th and the current highest bid is $96,000 USD.
