Rare Pre-Production Prototype 1995 Ferrari F50 for sale

Between 1995 and 1997, Ferrari produced 349 examples of the mid-engine sports car, the Ferrari F50. However, the Maranello-based company also produced 19 pre-production prototypes and one of them, the 1995 Ferrari F50, is for sale.

This car was presented as the successor to the legendary F40, with performance that could not be matched by any sports car with an open roof. It was developed under the influence of Formula 1, and based on the F50 GT in collaboration with racing partners Dallara and Michelotto. This example is one of six that were owned by the Royal Family of Brunei and is currently owned by DK Engineering. It has 40 individual differences that distinguish it from the other 349 copies.

The Ferrari F50 is powered by a 4.7-liter V12 engine with 512 hp (382 kW) and 347 lb-ft (471 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. It reaches 60 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph. It has only 1,900 kilometers on the odometer.

It was delivered as new to the royal family in 1995, and since 1997 it has changed several owners. All the time it was part of collections and exhibited in museums. Since 2015, it has been part of Tony Denny’s Gosford Classic Car Museum in Australia. Since 2018, it has Ferrari’s red book Classiche certification.

A mint-condition 1995 Ferrari F50 is for sale

In 1995, Ferrari unveiled one of its icons, the Ferrari F50. It was produced until 1997 and only 349 cars left the production line. Although for a long time it was in the shadow of the F40 model, it still found its place in the hearts of car enthusiasts. One of them, a 1995 Ferrari F50, is for sale.

The car is in excellent condition, and the fact that the previous owner kept it at home for many years and did not drive it shows how important the car is. It is finished in Rosso Corsa and is the 8th ever produced with chassis number 103274. It is equipped with a carbon body, Brembo ventilated disc brakes, fully independent double-wishbone suspension with pushrod-operated coil-overs, and has a Ferrari Classiche Red Book confirming its continued presence chassis, engine, transmission and body of corresponding numbers.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in Nero black leather combined with red fabric. Black leather can also be seen on the door panels in combination with carbon fiber, the steering wheel is wrapped in black leather, while the dashboard is covered in Alcantara.

This F50 is one of the most desirable examples of Maranello’s celebrated 50th anniversary hypercar ever seen. It was bought new in 1995 by the director of a marque dealership in Singapore called Hong Seh Motors. It remained there until 2013 when it was sold to the new/current owner in the United States, Texas. The car has been properly maintained, and the fuel bladder, fuel hoses, and clutch inspection were recently inspected, while the auxiliary belt, air filter, fuel and oil were replaced, and the brake and clutch flushed.

The Ferrari F50 is powered by a 4.7-liter F130B V12 engine with 513 hp (382 kW) @ 8,500 rpm and 347 lb-ft (471 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. It reaches 60 mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h). It only has 625 miles on the odometer.

The car comes with a factory purchase order, certificate of origin, export bill of lading, service invoices, and a history by marque expert Marcel Massini. The auction will take place on December 10 and the estimated value of the car is between $5,500,000 – $6,500,000 USD.

1995 Ferrari F50 is for sale

Mike Tyson was the youngest heavyweight boxing champion of the world and one of those “bad guys” who are difficult to approach, because you never know how he will react. Everything that can be associated with him is collectible, including the 1995 Ferrari F50 from his private collection.

Ferrari introduced the F50 model in 1995, and by 1997 a total of 349 examples were produced, of which 55 were with US specifications. This 1995 Ferrari F50 is excatly one of those 55. It is powered by a 4.7-liter V12 engine with 513 hp (382 kW) @ 8,500 rpm which is enough to push the car to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds with top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

The car is painted in Rosso Corsa color and was bought new by Rick Black, an official Ferrari dealer (Beverly Hills Sports Cars). Since then, it has changed several owners until it was bought by Mike Tyson in 2001. Tyson sold it the same year to Kevin Marcus, co-founder of Infospace, and after that the car was sold to several other owners. In May of this year, $75,000 was invested in the car. The clutch, tires and front suspension lift and air conditioning systems were serviced, and the Alcantara panels and front under-panels were repaired.

The F50 has a carbon body, Brembo ventilated disc brakes, fully independent double-wishbone suspension with pushrod-operated coil-overs, soft top, and only has 5,320 miles (8,561.7 km) on the odometer.

The car comes with a Ferrari Classiche certificate, tools, books, luggage, window sticker, copy of Certificate of Origin, and Marcel Massini Report.
