In the mid-90s, Ferrari unveiled a new sports car, the Ferrari F355 Spider. The car was produced between 1995 and 1999, and 3,717 units left the production line. One of them, a 1998 Ferrari F355 Spider, is up for auction.
The F355 Spider is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC V8 engine with 375 hp (276 kW) and 268 lb-ft (363 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. It reaches 62 mph in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 183 mph (295 km/h). It is mounted on 18-inch five-spoke magnesium wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
This car is finished in Argento Nurburgring, has been well maintained and is in excellent condition. It is equipped with pop-up headlights, fog lights, an integrated tailgate spoiler, a Challenge-style rear grille, quad exhausts, a vented bonnet, door air intakes, rocker panels and Ferrari brake calipers mounted over vented discs at each corner.
Inside, the sports seats are upholstered in Nero leather, which can also be seen on the lower half of the dashboard, door panels and dashboard, while the steering wheel is wrapped in black leather. Additional equipment includes automatic climate control, an AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo, and drilled aluminum pedals. The clock shows 16,917 miles.
The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with removed hardware, service records, manufacturer’s literature and accessories and a clean California title.
The auction ends on December 28th and the current highest bid is $77,500 USD.
