Porsche three new limited edition models

According to some American media reports, Porsche has decided to expand its 992 generation with a limited edition of three new models.

The first of these should be called the Sport Classic. It will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.7-liter flat-six engine from the 911 Turbo S version. It will have 640 hp (471 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. That’s enough to push the car up to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph (330 km / h). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed PDK transmission. Unofficially, the Porsche 911 Sport Classic will be produced in 250 units.

The second version will be called the 911 ST and will be reminiscent of the Porsche model from the early 1970s. Like the original, the 992 ST will also have significantly expanded fenders. It will be powered by an additionally boosted 4-liter boxer engine from the current GT3.

The third model is the 911 RS with which Porsche will mark half a century since the introduction of the first RS. The reminder of the famous ancestor will be based on the 911 GTS model, which will make it much lighter and a bit more powerful.

The latest example of Porsche’s look back is the remarkably thoughtful 911R model created on the previous generation (991) with an atmospheric boxer engine from the 911 GT3 RS model and a manual transmission. The limited edition “R” quickly became the object of desire for which customers, who did not manage to secure their copy, paid much more than its official price.

There is no doubt that all limited edition models will be sold in record time.

The Porsche 911 GT3 Touring with manual transmission is now available in California

Matt Farah, from TheSmokingTire, tested the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring. It is a new model from the 922 generation.

The sixth-speed manual transmission is what distinguishes this Porsche model, which makes the GT3 Touring impressive and the finest stick shift on the market, says Matt Farah. What matters to future customers in California is that they will be able to choose between a seven-speed PDK and a six-speed manual transmission at no extra charge, as Porsche has reached an agreement with regulators. Namely, the regulators did not allow the use of a six-speed gearbox because of an outdated test procedure.

The new GT3 Touring is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six engine with 502 hp and 346 lb-ft of torque. With a weight of 1457 kg (3,213 lb), it reaches 62 mph in about 3 seconds with a top speed of 199 mph (320 km / h), while with a six-speed manual transmission it takes 3.5 seconds to reach the same speed.

The Porsche GT3 Tournig has a new bonnet, a centrally placed dual exhaust and a new front bumper with better intake, while the rear wing has been replaced by an active spoiler. Inside, the seats are upholstered in black leather and fabric, the gear lever and steering wheel are also upholstered in leather, replacing the previous plastic.

The new GT3 Touring is equipped with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s tires, and six-piston calipers at the front.
