The APXGP Edition is a limited edition Mercedes-AMG GT dedicated to the film “F1” which will premiere in June. The main character in the film is Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) who mentors rookie prodigy Joshua “Noah” Pearce, a driver for the Apex Grand Prix team (APXGP).

The car is based on the GT 63 4Matic+ and is equipped with the AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber package and the AMG Aerodynamics package which includes a fixed rear wing, as well as the AMG Night Package II with several black elements.

The APXGP Edition is finished in matt black with contrasting gold details such as the gold edge of the darkened radiator grille and the gold lines running the length of the doors. The rear half of the body features a black and dark grey pattern.

The same theme continues inside the vehicle. The AMG Performance seats are stitched with gold thread, while gold details are also visible on the steering wheel, instrument panel, air vents and center console. For a complete driving experience, there is a Burmester 3D sound system with 15 speakers, ambient lighting and “Limited Edition 1 of 52” plates that emphasize the car’s uniqueness.

When it comes to the powertrain, the APXGP Edition is powered by a 4.0-L twin-turbo V8 engine with 577 hp (430 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The same engine powers the GT 63 4Matic+, which means it accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 311 km/h (193).

Mercedes has lent several of its cars for the purpose of the film, in which many Formula 1 drivers such as Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Sergio Perez, Lando Norris, etc. will appear. Also, all the Formula 1 teams will appear in this film.
