Manhart Alpina 2002 TII based on the BMW 2002 Tii

Between 1971 and 1975, BMW produced the Touring version of the 02 Series, the 2002 Tii, as the replacement for the 2002 ti. Now this model was the basis for the third modified car of Manhart’s Classic Cars department, the Manhart Alpina 2002 TII.

The Alpina 2002 TII is powered by a front-mounted 2.0-liter M10 4-cylinder engine with 200 hp (147 kW) and 159 lb-ft (215 Nm) of torque. As a reminder, the 2002 Tii has 130 hp (96 kW) and 131 lb-ft (178 Nm) of torque. Power increase was done by installing K&N airbox and ALPINA engine tuning with EMU Classic ECU. The engine is paired with a BMW E21 323i 5-speed manual transmission.

The tuner installed Raab coilover suspension by KW for sporty handling, Wiechers strut for more body stiffness, 25-mm spacers front and rear, ALPINA wheel arch extensions, brake system of a 323i model from the successor series E21, MANHART exhaust system, single gas system and distributor from ALPINA, and original 16″ ALPINA rims with 215/40R16 and 225/40R16 tires.

This car is finished in Agave Green with light green and silver decorative stripes over the body, and lettering of the characteristic ALPINA decal set. Inside, sports seats by Scheel are upholstered in black fabric with bright green and blue stripes, and there is also a Clubsport roll bar at the rear.
