Manhart MH7 400d based on the BMW 7 Series

Powerful diesel engines are considered the best for long journeys, so they still attract the attention of tuners. Following the recently unveiled MH8 800, German tuner Manhart has introduced the luxury diesel sedan MH7 400d.

The car is based on the BMW 7 Series and is powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbodiesel engine with 405 hp (298 kW) and 583 lb-ft (790 Nm) of torque. Compared to the standard model with 320 hp (235 kW) and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque, a significant increase in power has been achieved thanks to improved turbochargers and a remapped ECU. The engine is paired with an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, nothing has changed. The factory design has been retained with the addition of the Manhart logo which can be seen in several places like on the steering wheel.

The exterior is adorned with a standard Manhart blue body design with gold stripes on both sides of the car as well as the entire length of the body. The original exhaust system has been retained, the air suspension has been lowered by an additional 20-30 mm, and a carbon spoiler lip has been added both on the front apron and the trunk lid. The car is mounted on 22-inch wheels with a gold line around the edges, wrapped in 265 / 30R22 (front) and 295 / 25R22 (rear) tires.

BMW 4 Series and 8 Series merged into the new generation 6 Series

Reduced demand for coupe and convertible cars has led some companies to make drastic decisions. Like Mercedes, which shut down the S-Class Coupe and convertible, BMW could do something similar. It seems that buyers avoid less practical cars buy showing more interest to SUVs and crossovers.

According to some information, BMW will not present the new generation 4 Series Coupe and Convertible and 8 Series Coupe and Convertible. Rumors also say that from 2026, we could have these two models merged into one, new 6 Series.

The BMW Gran Turismo is still on the market, and in four years the 6 Series could be completely different. The 4 Series Gran Coupe is not mentioned, while the 8 Series Gran Coupe will become part of the 7 Series, as a more elegant alternative to the traditional sedan.

2022 BMW M3 Touring will hit the market soon

It took a long time for BMW to make a decision on the M3 Touring. After more than three decades, BMW’s response to concepts that competitors have been offering for years is in the final stages of testing.

The first BMW M3 Touring with the slogan “Same power in a new form” will be powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with 480 hp (353 kW), in the standard version. The more powerful model will have more horsepower, more precisely 510 hp (375 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. The M3 and Coupé M4 use the same engine.

Although there is no confirmation yet, rumors say the new station wagon will only be offered in combination with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic gearbox. If we consider the power of the engine, it is certain that the performance will be higher than expected.

The BMW M3 Touring is not the first caravan to come out of the M department. So far, it has been offered in the Series 5 (E34 and E61), while the attempt based on the Series 3 (E46) in the end remained only a prototype.

The latest information says that the M3 Touring should hit the market at the end of this or the beginning of next year.
