1991 BMW E30 M3 Convertible sold for $ 100,000

Since 1985, when the first M3 model was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW has so far produced more than 18,000 examples of the E30 M3, of which less than 800 are Convertible. One such example, a 1991 BMW E30 M3 convertible, was sold in Irvine (California) for $ 100,000.

The car is equipped with heated front seats, electronic windows, M steering wheel and gear lever. It has the original documentation including the service book. The tires as well as the oil have recently been changed. It is in good condition, considering that it is a 30-year-old car with 81,300 miles (130,906 km).

Inside, there are M Tech fabric upholstery in combination with gray leather on the side supports, door panel parts and dashboard. Minor traces of use can be seen, which is negligible.

The BMW E30 M3 Convertible is powered by a 2.3-liter naturally aspirated inline-four engine with 215 hp (158 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.

The BMW i7 continues testing in southern Europe

Following recently published official photos from testing on the edge of the Arctic Circle, the BMW i7 has moved to significantly different climatic conditions at an unknown location in southern Europe.

The luxury BMW i7 will be premiered to the public next year, with a new generation of the 7 Series that will continue to use internal combustion engines. It is already known that the Bavarian response to similar models offered primarily by German competition will be powered by two electric motors whose potential will be distributed to both axles.

“Endurance test in the hot regions of various countries and continents serves in particular to test and safeguard all components of the electric drive system,” said BMW.

The BMW i7 will be powered by one electric motor at the front and two electric motors at the rear with a total output of around 650 horsepower. It will be equipped with a 120-kWh battery pack, sufficient for a range of 435 miles (700 kilometers).

The arrival of the BMW i7 has been announced for 2023, while the Series 7 is coming next year.

Morgan Plus 8 GTR with BMW N62 engine

After the sketches were published in early 2021, Morgan unveiled the first of just nine units of the new Plus 8 GTR, finished in Yas Marina blue.

The car is a reminder of the racing car of the 1990s, and the project began when Morgan came up with a few chassis a few years ago. Seven units will be delivered by the end of the month, and the last in the first quarter of 2022.

Inside, the seats are made of carbon fiber and black leather with a GTR inscription on the header. The car is mounted on 18-inch wheels wrapped in 225/40 R18 88W Yokohama tires.

The Plus 8 GTR is powered by a BMW 4.8-liter N62B48 engine with 375 hp (276 kW), which is 20 hp more than the BMW X5 with the same engine. It is also slightly more powerful than the engine used in the 550i, 650i and 750i in the mid-2000s (362 hp / 266 kW). When it comes to the gearbox, the engine is paired with a six-speed automatic / manual (customer’s choice) transmission.

Morgan has given every customer the opportunity to work with a team to create a truly unique car. Customers could choose whether they wanted a steering wheel on the left or right. Four of the nine cars were sold in the UK, while the rest were sold to buyers outside the UK.
