Ultra rare 1984 Porsche 911 SC/RS for sale

For the 1984 World Rally Championship season, Porsche produced a car that many fans of the German brand had never heard of, the Porsche 911 SC/RS. Porsche produced only 21 examples of this lightweight rally car, of which 20 were used in races, while one example is in the Porsche Museum. One example, 1984 Porsche 911 SC/RS is for sale.

This Porsche 911 SC/RS is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six engine paired with a Type 915/71 five-speed manual transaxle with a designated fluid cooler, a limited-slip differential with 40% lockup, and an RSR-style clutch , which sends power to the rear wheels.

The car is finished in white and is in excellent condition. It is equipped with a whale-tail rear spoiler, a front chin spoiler beneath a front valance with dual air ducts, quad hood-mounted rally lights under a body-color cover, a driver-side mirror, a roof-mounted antenna, cross-drilled and ventilated disc brakes with four-piston calipers all around, dual master cylinders with adjustable bias, torsion bar suspension with adjustable lift points, Bilstein adjustable shock absorbers with auxiliary coil springs, and an aluminum skid plate fitted to the underbody. Rothmans Rallye de France decals were applied to each door in February 2024. It is mounted on a set of 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels wrapped in 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires.

The interior of the car was stripped, which included removing the rear seats, glovebox door and clock. Racing seats upholstered in black fabric, Sabelt four-point harnesses, Matter roll cage with removable door bars, black carpeting of thinner depth than the standard 911, roll-up windows, a Realistic CB radio, and a Jaeger rally computer were installed, while is an Eberspacher fuel-operated heater located in the front compartment underneath an aluminum cover. In front of the driver are a three-spoke steering wheel and a six-digit odometer showing 5,158 km.

The car comes with an inspection report from Jürgen Barth, a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, a copy of its factory data card, its previous Swiss registration document, a technical manual, 1984 Tour de Corse route books, and a Montana title.

The auction ends on May 25 and the highest bid at the time of writing was $460,000 USD.

1957 Porsche 356A Cabriolet sold for $85,356 USD

Porsche’s first production car, the 356, fetched six figures at auction for years, and buyers seem to be slowly losing interest in this model. One example, a 1957 Porsche 356A Cabriolet, was recently sold for “only” $85,356 USD.

The car is finished in black, well maintained and in good condition. It is equipped with a Ruetter body, a black soft top with a matching boot cover as well as dual side mirrors, a rear luggage rack with leather fasteners, polished side spears and rocker panel trim, and body-color bumpers with overriders and integrated exhaust. outlets at the rear, Koni shocks at the rear and four-wheel hydraulic drums.

Inside, the seats are covered in red leather that also covers the door panels and the upper part of the dash. In front of the driver are a two-spoke steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 52,076 km (~32k miles). Additional equipment includes belts on the front seats, squareweave carpets covered with black rubber floor linings, Blaupunkt push-button radio and a passenger grab handle, and a gold ASI plate is mounted on the right kick panel.

In 2023, the car was serviced, which included rebuilding the dual carburetors, replacing the fuel pump and cleaning the fuel tank. Along with the car, the new owner received import paperwork, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, dealer consignment in North Carolina with refurbishment photos, and transferable New York State registration.

This 356A is powered by a 1.6-liter flat-four engine with dual downdraft carburetors paired with a four-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. It sits on chrome-finished 15″ steel wheels wrapped in 165-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires.

1966 Shelby Mustang GT350 is for sale

Between 1965 and 1970, one of the legendary high-performance cars, the Shelby Mustang GT 350, was produced, and the first generation is considered the smallest and lightest of all GT 350 models. One example of this car, the 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350 is for sale.

This Shelby Mustang GT350 is powered by an aftermarket 4.7 L 289ci HiPo Windsor V8 engine (1967 GT350) with a factory rated 306 hp (228 kW) and 329 lb-ft (446 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

The car was refinished in Wimbledon White with blue Le Mans and side stripes during 1991. It is equipped with a steel-framed fiberglass hood with a scoop and torsion-type retaining pins, a bullet-style side-view mirror, fixed plexiglass rear quarter windows, fiberglass brake-cooling scoops on the rear fenders, Koni shocks, Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes and large rear drums. It sits on silver 10-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in E70-14″ Goodyear Custom Wide Tread tires.

Inside, the seats are trimmed in black vinyl that also covers the door panels and the Sport Deck rear seat. In front of the driver are a three-spoke woodgrain steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 44,378 miles. Additional equipment includes GT350-branded rear floormats, latch-and-link front seatbelts, a heater/defroster, and a push-button AM radio.

During 1991, the car was refurbished, which included the installation of a four-barrel carburetor, a high-rise aluminum intake manifold, a chrome open-element air cleaner, and finned aluminum valve covers with open-letter Cobra logos, long-tube headers that flow into a replacement dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers and side exits.

Shelby Mustang GT350 comes with owner’s manuals, copies of Shelby American documents, a Shelby American Automobile Club serial number verification letter, a Carroll Shelby Motors license plate frame, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The auction ends on April 30 and the highest bid at the time of writing was $141,000 USD.
