DS Automobiles has introduced its new DS4 model. Sales of this model are expected in the fourth quarter of 2021. The car comes as Standard, Crossback and Performance Line.
The DS4 is similar to the previous model. At the front are matrix LEDs, which together with a set of daytime running lights contain 98 light emitting diodes. Compared to the previous model, the DS4 features a set of pop-out door handles instead of the hidden handles found on the previous model.
The car is larger than its predecessor and comes with 20-inch wheels with aero inserts that mimic the concept of the DS Aero Sport Lounge.
The interior is dominated by Alcantara and Nappa leather. The DS4 features a 690-watt Focal sound system, built-in air purifier, augmented reality for a 21-inch head-up display. There’s also a 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as a 5.0-inch touchscreen on the center console. The DS4 offers 430 liters of luggage space.
The DS4 comes with several different engine versions such as 128, 178 and 222 hp PureTech petrol engines, 128 hp BlueHDi diesel and a petrol-electric plug-in hybrid (E-TENSE). The E-TENSE has a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine and an electric engine that combined to produce 222 hp. The electric motor gives the car a range of 31 miles. All engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.

The hexagonal edge of the grille blends seamlessly with the headlights. This rim surrounds the grid in the shape of a diamond with a DS badge in the center. The central rib that goes down through the aluminum cover emphasizes the DS badge. The sharp lines of the front and rear wings give the hips a sculpted look that emphasizes the muscular look of our SUV.

The rear lights contribute to the intensity and originality of the DS 7 CROSSBACK lighting signature. Using 3D LED technology, they are inspired by our DS E-TENSE concept car and feature a three-dimensional design that works vividly, like a reptile scale.
The DS 7 CROSSBACK gives passengers plenty of space, especially in the rear. The seats are with a high-density sponge that is comfortable but supportive. The front seats can be heated, ventilated or adjusted for massage, with five available modes, operated from a central touch screen.
The DS 7 CROSSBACK is available with a choice of dynamic petrol or diesel engines. Powerful and efficient, they meet the latest exhaust emission standards (Euro 6.2) and stand out with outstanding torque. Thanks to the new 8-speed automatic transmission, they have become smoother and faster.
In 2019, the DS 7 CROSSBACK with plug-in hybrid drive E-TENSE 4×4 was launched. It features a 200-horsepower gasoline-powered gasoline engine and two electric motors that combine to give a total output of 300 horsepower. It also features an 8-speed automatic transmission, a compact 90 kW lithium-ion battery and an electric rear-wheel drive, giving 4×4 versions stunning performance. Four modes are available: the zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) is 100% electric; A hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is petrol or electric for long distances without charging; SPORT offers a combined petrol and electric power with all-wheel drive (4×4). DS hybrid technology allows you to charge the batteries while driving or plugging directly into the mains. When used in ZEV mode, the 13 kW / h battery has a range of 40 miles.

The PureTech 180 Automatic – 1.6 4-cylinder engine delivers 181 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. Accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 10.2 seconds and top speed is 137 mph. The PureTech 225 Automatic – 1.6 4-cylinder engine delivers 225 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. Accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 8.3 seconds and top speed is 145 mph.
DS 7 CROSSBACK Diesel Versions: The BlueHDi 130 Manual – 1.5 4-cylinder engine delivers 130 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. Accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 10.8 seconds and top speed is 121 mph. The BlueHDi 130 Automatic – 1.5 4-cylinder engine delivers 131 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 10.7 seconds and top speed is 121 mph. The BlueHDi 180 Automatic – 2.0 4-cylinder engine delivers 180 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 9.4 seconds and top speed is 134 mph.
