Unique 2004 Ferrari Enzo is up for sale

At the 2002 Paris Motor Show Ferrari unveiled a new model, the Ferrari Enzo. It is built using F1 technology, carbon fiber and other components. It was produced in 400 copies and the last one produced was sold at an auction for charity purposes. The buyers were wealthy owners of the most expensive Ferrari cars, the F40 and F50, and one car stands out in particular. It’s a 2004 Ferrari Mate Black Enzo, bought by a member of the Brunei royal family.

The car is finished in Nero Opaco and is the first Ferrari ever produced in that color. It was delivered to a buyer in London and was occasionally seen in Hampstead, Mayfair and Knightsbridge before being transported to Asia. Recently, it was returned to Carrozzeria Zanasi, the official paint shop for Ferrari cars. The owner spent over €110,000 EUR for new paint, cosmetic repairs and replacing switches, front and rear headlights and rear bonnet glass.

It is equipped with a carbon fiber and aluminum chassis, carbon composite body panels by Ken Okuyama and carbon ceramic disc brakes. A rare and desirable hypercar that would take a place in any collection and worthy of Enzo Ferrari’s name.

Inside, the carbon fiber sports seats are upholstered in Nero leather, which can also be seen on the door panels and the part of the dashboard in front of the passenger. There are also carbon accessories, Nero carpets and Rosso instruments.

This unique car is powered by a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine with 651 hp (485 kW) and 485 lb-ft (657 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed ‘F1’ Graziano automated manual gearbox. It reaches 60 mph in 3.14 seconds with a top speed of 221 mph (355 km/h). It has only 5,730 km on the odometer at the time of cataloguing.

The car comes with a Ferrari Classiche Red Book certificate. The auction will take place between December 5 – 7. Offered without reserve.

1991 Ferrari F40 with 9400 kilometres is for sale

In the late 80’s, Enzo Ferrari created the 288 GTO Evolution, but they got banned by the FIA for that kind of racing. Since they had a finished car, Enzo decided to make the fastest road car of all time (323 kph). After fourteen months of development, the F40 was presented to the public on July 21, 1987 in Maranello. Only 1315 units of this model were produced, of which 213 with US-specifications. They are rare and collectible, especially those with low mileage, such as this 1991 Ferrari F40.

The F40 is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 478 hp (356 kW) and 426 lb-ft (578 Nm) of torque. That’s enough power to push the car up to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 201 mph (323 km / h). Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

It is finished in Rosso Corsa, well maintained and has only 9,400 kilometres on the odometer. It is equipped with independent double-wishbone suspension with coil-over shock absorbers, wind-up windows, Weber-Marelli electronic fuel injection and cross-drilled disc brakes. In 2020 at Modena Cars SA in Geneva the left and right fuel tanks were replaced, the fuel lines were refreshed and other work was undertaken which cost 116,500 CHF.

The car comes with a history report by Marcel Massini, warranty booklet copies, and service invoices. The auction will take place on November 26 and the estimated value of the car is between €2,300,000 – €2,600,000 EUR.

1988 Ferrari F40 for sale

The Ferrari F40 is considered an icon of the automotive industry and one of the manufacturer’s most important cars. It was produced between 1987 and 1992, and 1,315 units of this car left the production line. One of them, a 1988 Ferrari F40, is up for sale.

It was built as Enzo Ferrari’s desire to leave a legacy in his last sports car produced exclusively for road use. “The F40 is for the most enthusiastic of our owners who want nothing but sheer performance. It isn’t a laboratory for the future. It is not Star Wars. And it wasn’t created because Porsche built the 959. It would have happened anyway,” said Enzo Ferrari.

Under the hood is a 2.9 L twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 471 hp (352 kW) and 426 lb-ft (577 Nm) of torque @ 4,000 rpm. It reaches 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 201 mph (324 kph). It was the first production car that could go over 200 mph. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The car is in excellent condition with only 30,243 kilometers on the odometer. It has been properly maintained, as shown by the report of Kroymans Ferrari, the official representative of Ferrari in the Netherlands, which states: “that the car is in very nice condition and well mantianed…the car is accident-free and that we believed the car is still in its original paint. (Only the front bonnet is inconclusive)”.

This example is one of the first ever produced (27th), and the first 50, which are the most desirable to collectors, were built without catalytic converters or adjustable suspension. It was bought new by Carlo Sama from Ravenna from Motor S.p.a. where it remained until 1997 when it was sold to the Netherlands. It has a Ferrari Classiche certificate, which confirms that it retains its original chassis, body, engine and gearbox. The last inspection was in September 2022.

The car comes with the original owners manual, original service book, and tool kit. Price upon request.
