Ferrari limits annual sales of its cars

At Capital Markets Day Ferrari has announced its plans and goals when it comes to sales. According to published information, the company from Maranello will limit the annual deliveries of its models, while by 2026, 3/5 of all offers will have hybrid and purely electric powertrains, and the rest will be cars with internal combustion engines.

Earlier this year, Ferrari released photos of its first SUV, and Ferrari is calling it a “game-changer.” The Ferrari Purosangue should have its world premiere in September, and the first deliveries can be expected early next year. However, sales of the model, which will be powered by a V12 engine, will be limited to only 1/5 of the total annual Ferrari car delivery. Good job Ferrari!

When it comes to other supercars with a V12 engine, the 812 Competizione / 812 Competizione A will be limited to 10 percent of total sales. The Ferrari Icona, which will be produced in only 300 copies, will be limited to just five percent of total sales.

Whether this decision is caused by the current crisis that is shaking the world, and therefore the automotive industry, it is not known. Either way, it is certain that the price of the already limited number of expensive cars will be even higher.

1988 Ferrari Testarossa sold on eBay for $ 160,000

The Ferrari Testarossa is one of the legendary cars of the 80s, and one such copy from 1988 with 655 hp was offered for sale on eBay. The car has only 13,579 km on the odometer and was sold for $ 160,000.

The car is in excellent condition with well-preserved original Rosso Corsa paint. So far it has had only two owners. It was purchased from the first owner in 2003, and since 2007 has been owned by Bob Norwood who installed the Stage One twin-turbo kit. He also equipped the car with custom made equipment such as huge Brembo brakes and 18 inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires.

The Ferrari Testarossa is powered by a 4.9-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 655 hp (482 kW) and 585 lb-ft (793 Nm) of torque. This is a big increase in power since the standard model has 380 hp (279 kW) and 354 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with 5-speed manual transmission.

2023 Ferrari Purosangue comes with a V12 engine

A few days ago, Ferrari announced on its twitter profile the arrival of a new model that will be powered by a V12 engine. According to some rumors, the new Ferrari with a V12 engine should debut this summer, and Ferrari is calling it a “game-changer.” It is assumed that it is the Purosangue, Ferrari’s first SUV model, after which nothing will be the same.

The car has been announced as “Heart Of A Thoroughbred,” and it’s a clear link to Purosangue. The video posted on twitter doesn’t reveal much. Only details of the V12 engine with the manufacturer’s name clearly imprinted can be seen.

The car was announced as a surprise, born without compromises. Rumor has it that Ferrari’s first SUV will be a plug-in hybrid powered by a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine with 654 hp (488 kW) and an electric motor with 164 hp (123 kW), for a total of 818 hp (610 kW) and 546 lb -ft 740 Nm) of torque. Some even mention a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Now it is almost certain that the top performance will have a V12. Good job Ferrari!
