Rare LaFerrari Coupe on auction

Auction house RM Sotheby’s has announced the sale of the LaFerrari Coupe. It is one of 500 units produced from 2013 to 2016.

The first owner bought the car in 2016 and has traveled less than 1,500 kilometers with it since then. The unique dark red body color (Vinaccia) is the detail that sets this LaFerrari Coupe apart from the rest.

The LaFerrari Coupe is powered by a centrally located 6.3 L F140FE V12 engine which in combination with the electric motor and KERS system produces a total of 950 hp (699 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Engine power is enough to push the two-seater to 62 mph in less than 3 seconds, to 124 mph (200 km / h) in less than 7 seconds. The top speed that a supercar can reach is 220 mph (350 km / h).

When it comes to price, the LaFerrari Coupe, Ferrari’s response to the ultrasports hybrid models of the McLaren (P1) and Porsche (918 Spyder), originally cost $ 1.5 million. It is expected to reach the auction price of more than three million dollars.

The Ferrari Icona is coming in November

Ferrari’s next masterpiece, the Ferrari Icona, will debut later this year, in November. This will happen at the Mugello track in Italy, where the third Ferrari model from the Icona series of numerically limited supercars will appear. We have previously seen the Monza SP1 and SP2 models.

The Monza SP1 and SP2 are based on the 812 Superfast model and are inspired by the classic Ferrari race cars from the 1950s, namely the 750 Monza and the 860 Monza. Ferrari’s next unique project is inspired by the legendary Ferrari 330 P4 that competed at Le Mans in the 1960s.

The Icona will use the same engine as the 812 Competizione, a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 820 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. Power is expected to be transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

While the 812 Competizione has a front-mounted engine, Ferrari’s next car in the Icona series will be based on the same platform as the LaFerrari Aperta with the engine in the middle. Its unique design will pay tribute to the legendary mdoel 330 P4. Unlike LaFerrari, the special model will not have hybrid technology.

Only 300 copies of the Icona model will be produced, and we will know more details after the presentation in November.

Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder

The limited edition Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder is one of the most expensive models made in Ferrari. It is not surprising that well-preserved original units reach millions at auctions.

The British company GTO Engineering offers a replica of the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder. The company, besides restoring and servicing Ferrari models, is also engaged in the production of replicas. Those who are unable to pay for the original two-seater from the early 1960s can become replica owners.

“It’s very exciting to be able to start talking about our latest addition to the Revival series: the California Spyder Revival. It is one of, if not, the most iconic Ferrari road car from the sixties and it’s something we’ve worked hard over recent years to develop, following on from the success of the 250 SWB Revival and 250 TR Revival models. The feedback from both previous and new Revival-series customers is encouraging and we’re looking forward to working with more owners to create their dream car, ”said GTO Engineering founder Mark Lyon.

GTO Engineering offers three types of engines. The 3.0-liter V12 engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The more powerful 3.5-liter and 4.0-liter V12 engines are paired with a five-speed transmission that transmits power to the rear axle.

With their previous Ferrari replicas, the 250 SWB and 250 TR, they have attracted a lot of attention. We are sure the same will be with the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder.
