1991 Ferrari F40 for sale

The Ferrari F40 is one of the icons of the Italian manufacturer and the latest model to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari. The auction house Gooding & Company has announced the sale of a 1991 Ferrari F40, and the auction will take place in March.

In the late 80’s, Enzo Ferrari created the 288 GTO Evolution, but they got banned by the FIA for that kind of racing. Since they had a finished car, Enzo decided to make the fastest road car of all time (323 kph). After fourteen months of development, the F40 was presented to the public on July 21, 1987 in Maranello. Only 1315 examples of this model were produced, of which 213 with US-specifications.

The Ferrari F40 is painted in Rosso Corsa red. It is equipped with Independent Double-Wishbone Suspension with Coil-Over Shock Absorbers, Weber-Marelli Electronic Fuel Injection, Cross-Drilled Disc Brakes.

The F40 is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 478 hp (356 kW) and 426 lb-ft (578 Nm) of torque. That’s enough power to push the car up to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 201 mph (323 km / h). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

It was bought in 1991 and has had three owners so far. It has less than 3,800 miles (6,081 kilometers) on the odometer and comes with books, tools, covers, documentation, and Ferrari Classiche Red Book.

The value of the car is estimated at $ 2,400,000 – $ 2,800,000.

2022 Ferrari Purosangue first photos

Ferrari recently announced the arrival of its first SUV, the Ferrari Purosangue, and now the first photos have appeared. The car is currently in the testing phase, covered in camouflage that didn’t reveal enough, so we couldn’t know what the new Ferrari might look like.

As we can see in the photos, the front part is reminiscent of the SF90 design, but with large openings on the sides in the upper parts of which the fog lights are located. There are also pronounced wheel arches, black trim around the wheels, five-spoke wheels, and the front grille is located lower in the front bumper.

When it comes to the powertrain, there is no information for now. Some rumors say that the Ferrari Purasangue will be powered by a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine with 654 hp (488 kW) and an electric motor with 164 hp (123 kW), for a total of 818 hp (610 kW) and 546 lb-ft 740 Nm) of torque. Some even mention a 6.5-liter V12 or a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. These are all guesses, and time will tell what Ferrari will offer us with their first SUV.

The Ferrari Purosangue should have its world premiere at the end of the year, and the first deliveries can be expected early next year.

2023 Ferrari LMH

After a half-century break, Ferrari is finally back in the top class of the WEC (World Endurance Championship), which also includes the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This was confirmed by the head of Ferrari Attività Sportive GT, Antonello Coletta, saying that this is a big step forward for Ferrari, which will compete in the LMH class from 2023. The car is currently in the development phase, and the second phase of intensive testing of the hybrid car will begin in June at the Fiorano track.

2023 Ferrari LMH

While other participants, such as Audi, BMW and Porsche, have announced entry into the LMDh class, which will replace the LMP2, Ferrari will compete in the top class. Toyota is already participating in this class, and Peugeot has also announced its LMH (Le Mans Hypercar).

An experienced AF Corse team will be in charge of Ferrari’s LMH prototypes. “We are proud of this announcement. It is the crowning of a dream and recognition of the great effort made over the years. Our partnership with Ferrari is a winning one that began in 2006, and I am delighted to continue it in the LMH project. We have immediately kicked off with great enthusiasm aiming to raise the bar even further and to be ready for this new challenge, ”said AF Corse team owner Amato Ferrari.

It is certain that the return of Ferrari will raise the quality, but also make the competition more interesting. The team will compete as Ferrari – AF Corse, and Ferrari hopes that LMH will have the same success as the F430 GT2, which won all three titles in its debut season (team, drivers and Constructors).
