2023 Alfa Romeo F1 car is up for auction

After the new F1 car was unveiled last week, Alfa Romeo announced that one of the cars used at the launch will be auctioned. The C43 car will come with autographs by current Alfa Romeo team drivers.

This is not a rule, to sell the car before the start of the official Formula 1 season. This means that the new C43 will become unique after it is sold at auction. Until now, cars were auctioned during the season or at the end of the season.

The car has the same dimensions as the original racing cars that will be used in the races. All parts of the car are made of carbon fiber, and were created in the same production processes as the original Formula 1 car. It should be noted that the car does not have an engine nor can it be installed because the chassis does not allow it. Also, it does not have any other mechanism that allows it to move, so it is only for exhibitions.

Regardless of all the shortcomings that the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 car has, we are sure that there will be no shortage of interested buyers. The auction ends on February 21st and the current highest bid is £102,000.00.

David Coulthard drove a two-seater F1 car on the streets of Leipzig

Recently, David Coulthard drove a Formula 1 car (legally) through the streets of Leipzig unlike others who illegally drive Formula GP2 on the highway. It’s a Tyrrell F1 car, in Red Bull Racing colors, with a V10 engine and two seats, and the second passenger was RB Leipzig footballer Emil Forsberg.

“This was an incredible experience for me, I drove through the streets of Leipzig with David Coulthard in a Formula 1 car. Maybe this is something that can be experienced only once in a lifetime. The feeling and the sound of the car is madness,” said Forsberg.

Red Bull is currently doing a worldwide promotion, and before Coulthard, world F1 champions Max Verstappen did the same when he drove artist Fabio Wibmer at the Red Bull Ring. However, Max is still a driver in the Formula 1 championship so Coulthard took over the role of two-seater driver. For those who don’t know, Red Bull is a sponsor of RB Leipzig (RB- Red Bull).

Red Bull has booked a Tyrrell F1 car for the whole year. The car is powered by a V10 engine with around 750 hp, which is not even close to the current F1 cars that deliver around 1,050 hp, but it is more than the 620 hp that a Formula GP2 car has.

The driver and the footballer stopped at several popular locations in Leipzig, accompanied by the Minardi technical team.

Sebastian Vettel is driving his last Formula 1 season

After 15 years, 289 races and four F1 World Champion titles, German motorsports racing driver Sebastian Vettel has announced that he is ending his career as a Formula 1 driver.

The news surprised many, especially his fans and fans of Formula 1. Vettel made his debut in Formula 1 in 2007, and was world champion four times with the Red Bull team from 2010 to 2013. In his career so far, he has driven for BMW Sauber, Toro Rosso, Red Bull, Ferrari and Aston Martin, and won 53 times. In the 2013 season, he achieved 13 victories, which is the Formula 1 record for the number of victories in one season. He is also the youngest Formula 1 champion in history at 23 years and 134 days.

On the list of the most successful Formula 1 drivers, Vettel is currently in fourth place. Only Juan Manuel Fangio (5), Michael Schumacher (7) and Lewis Hamilton (7) are ahead of him.

His decision to spend more time with his family is understandable, but it may have been taken too quickly, after all, Vettel is 35 years old. In his statement, Sebastian said: “I have had the honor of working with many fantastic people over 15 years in Formula 1, and the decision to end my career was a difficult one to make. I thought about it a lot but decided it was the right move. at the end of the year I will think about my future. It is clear to me that as a father I want to spend more time with my family,” said Vettel.
