Porsche has produced a limited edition race car that costs $ 620,000. It is a special model Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 made on the occasion of 25 years of majority ownership in the company Manthey-Racing GmbH.
The Clubsport 25 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine with 690 hp. Power is delivered to the rear wheels thanks to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Clubsport 25 is based on the 911 generation model (911 GT2 RS Clubsport). The inspiration for the design was found in the 911 GT3 R. It is painted in “Grello” color, which is a combination of green and yellow. It has a new carbon fiber hood, a new engine and brake cooling system and a large rear wing. The interior is the same as the previous model, with a Recaro seat.
Managing Director of Manthey-Racing GmbH, Nicolas Raeder said:
“With the special model 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25, designed by us and developed together with Porsche Motorsport, we have reached another milestone in the 25-year history of Manthey. It expresses our guiding principle, ‘Closer to Perfection’, in an exemplary way. With every single modification, the technical function was clearly in the foreground. That is why the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 has its very own character, which also reflects our brand values: straightforwardness and meticulousness, flexibility and uncompromising attitude. “
30 copies will be produced, of which only 6 for the U.S., and delivery should begin early next year. The price of the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 model is $ 620,000 (€ 525,000).
