Four months ago, Alfa Romeo introduced a limited edition Giulia GTA and GTAm. Now the company has announced that all 500 units have already got their owners.
Although it was planned that all 500 units would be offered to customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, 18 units found their owners in Australia and 88 in Japan. This time, the Americans were left out.
Back in 1965, the first Giulia Sprint GTA appeared. The new models are proof that Alfa Romeo remains true to tradition. This was confirmed by Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of Alfa Romeo, saying:
“We will continue to pursue the Giulia project because it is the result of fantastic engineering and investment work and has the state of the art in the GTA. The Giulia is alive and stays alive!”
The new GTA and GTAm are powered by a 2.9-liter V6 Bi-Turbo engine with 540 hp (397 kW). That’s 30 hp (22 kW) more than the Giulia Quadrifoglio, which has 510 hp. It reaches 62 mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph (315 km / h). The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that transmits power to the rear wheels.
When it comes to price, the Giulia GTA sold for € 176,500 ($ 204,600) while the GTAm model is slightly more expensive and costs € 181,500 ($ 210,400).
