2000 Viper GTS-R GT2 is for sale

Seven years ago, Dodge stopped production of its two-seat sports car, the Dodge Viper, due to serious financial problems. It is considered one of the best American cars that has proven its capabilities in GT2 races. One of the Viper GTS-R GT2s is up for auction.

This Dodge Viper GTS-R, with the chassis number C36, is equipped with a large rear wing, racing lights, a hatch in the roof, and a lower, more sculpted body kit, with a yellow livery and a lot of advertising stickers. It was developed in 2000 by the French company Oreca, and achieved great success including winning three FIA ​​GT Championship titles. It was ordered by the German team Zakspeed for races at the VLN championship and 24-hour races at Nurburgring as well as for the FIA ​​GT 24 hour race of Spa-Francorchamps in 2003.

There is not much information about the car, but what is known is that it weighs 1,100 kg and is powered by a rebuilt 8.0-L V10 engine with about 600 hp (441 kW). The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

The car is listed on Race Cars Direct and the asking price is €750,000+VAT. It comes with the DMSB Wagenpass, with the homologation changes stated.
