Karma Automotive Dealer Allegedly Sold Exotic Cars Without Titles

In the shadowy corners of the luxury car market, few stories manage to shock a seasoned industry—yet Bul Auto Sales in Jacksonville, Florida, is doing just that. Opened barely 15 months ago, the Karma Automotive-affiliated dealership has now shuttered its doors, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions, angry customers, and an active criminal investigation spanning two states.

At the heart of the scandal is Vladimir Ranguelov, the dealership’s owner, who also ran a sister location in Albany, New York. Authorities allege that Ranguelov engaged in an elaborate scheme involving forgery, fraud, and double-selling high-end vehicles.

In one particularly brazen case, a Florida customer paid $250,000 for a Lamborghini—only to discover it had already been sold to another buyer. While one party received the exotic car, the other was left $250,000 short with no vehicle in sight.

Another victim, a 62-year-old man, transferred $260,000 for a McLaren 720S and drove the car for three months before discovering it had never been legally registered in his name. When the dealership offered to facilitate a sale of the McLaren to another buyer, the man was persuaded to purchase a $300,000 Rolls-Royce. As it stands, he’s now out a staggering $560,000 and owns neither vehicle.

Cases of deception keep piling up. A Dallas-based buyer wired $235,000 for a Corvette and flew to Jacksonville to collect it—only to find it had already been seized by the local Sheriff’s Office. In another disturbing incident, a 63-year-old entrusted the dealership to sell his 1994 Porsche 911 for $155,000. He was told the car had been sold, but law enforcement has found no trace of a new owner.

According to local reports, the dealership quietly ceased operations without notifying customers. Investigators believe that some vehicles were sold without settling existing liens, which explains why many buyers never received titles or the vehicles themselves.

Karma Automotive has since suspended its partnership with Bul Auto Sales, distancing itself as the investigation intensifies. Meanwhile, concern is growing among alleged victims that Ranguelov may have fled the country altogether.

This developing story underscores a critical reminder for luxury car buyers: even in a market built on prestige and performance, due diligence is essential. For those impacted, justice—and their money—may still be a long road away.

2027 Karma Amaris

The Karma Amaris is a new supercar that will hit the market in 2026. It is a project of the American company Karma Automotive, which was formed after the bankruptcy of Fisker Automotive.

The company has not revealed much information about the car, but what is known for now is that it will have an aluminum structure and will follow in the footsteps of the Kaveya model. Some design details will remind many of the Jaguar XKR, such as the hood that connects to a line that starts at the tip of the nose and extends to the back. It will be equipped with 22-inch Constellation forged aluminum wheels and Americana-style side exhaust pipes.

It is also not known which powertrain the Amaris will use, but the option is a four-cylinder turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor. Karma announced that the Amaris will have an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 266 km/h.

Karma Automotive also announced that the Gysera sedan, which was supposed to be an all-electric vehicle, will get an EREV powertrain like the Amaris.

2025 Karma Invictus

American luxury electric vehicle company Karma Automotive, owned by Chinese conglomerate Wanxiang Group, revealed its new car, Karma Invictus. It is a variant of the Revero sedan, and only 30 units will be produced.

At first glance, the Karma Invictus resembles the Fisker Karma that was produced between 2011-2012. year. Equipped with carbon fiber components such as the hood, front fenders with vents, roof, front fascia, side skirts, rear spoiler, diffuser, and trunk lid. The suspension was improved, and Ohlins shock absorbers and Swift springs were installed.

The interior of the Invictus is a little more modest compared to the interior of the Revero model. Heated and cooled front seats with an art deco pattern inspired by the Chrysler Building in New York, “Karma Invictus” embroidered on the headrests, art deco pattern on the door panels and center console, and anodized aluminum sill plates are just some of the details that adorn the interior of the car.

When it comes to the powertrain, the Invictus is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-L engine paired with two electric motors totaling 543 hp (399 kW) and 549 lb-ft (745 Nm) of torque. That’s enough for the sedan to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds. It is equipped with a 28 kWh battery that enables an electric range of 129 kilometers. It is mounted on 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
