The guys from YouTube channel Carwow have released a video of the drag race of two powerful Lamborghini models, the Aventador SVJ and the Huracan STO. Both cars are outstanding with impressive performance, but also with high price. Which is the ultimate Lamborghini over the quarter-mile?
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 770 hp (566 kW) and 530 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed single clutch automatic transmission. With a weight of 1,525 kg, it reaches 60 mph in 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph (350 + km / h). It is mounted on 20″ and 21″ rims wrapped in 255/30 ZR 20 (front) and 355/25 ZR 21 (rear) Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
The Lamborghini Huracan STO is powered by a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine with 640 hp (470 kW) and 417 lb-ft (565 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox LDF. It is lighter than the Aventador SVJ (1,339 kg), reaching 62 mph in 3 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph (310 km / h). It is mounted on 20 “rims wrapped in 245/30 R20 (front) and 305/30 R20 (rear) Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires.
After the engine sound test, they warmed up the tires. At 1/4 Mile Aventador won with 10.9 seconds, while the Huracan took 11.1 seconds, on a wet surface. However, on a warmer day, the Aventador SVJ actually managed in 10.4 seconds. In a rolling race from 50 mph (80 km / h) Avantador won again, but this time it was so close.
In the end, it seems that Aventador SVJ showed a little more. Or is it up to the driver ?
