Lando Norris’ Ferrari F40 crashed into a road barrier

The new year has just begun, and car accidents involving legendary models have already begun. One happened a few days ago in Monaco when a Ferrari F40 owned by British-Belgian motorsports racing driver Lando Norris ended up in a road barrier.

A video posted on Instagram shows the F40 driving on a mountain road near Monaco. After turning left, the driver suddenly lost control, apparently due to excessive steering and braking, causing it to spin out onto the road and then hit a road barrier. Fortunately, the damage to the car was not catastrophic.

The Ferrari F40 is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 471 hp (352 kW) and 426 lb-ft (578 Nm) of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. It reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 201 mph (323 km/h).

According to available information, Norris was not behind the wheel because he was in Dubai at the time of the accident. He has owned the car since late last year and has been photographed in it several times on the streets of Monaco.

Lando Norris’s 1972 Fiat 500 Jolly Evocation is up for sale

Lando Norris is a British-Belgian motorsports racing driver, who entered the world of Formula 1 at the Australian Grand Prix in 2019. This 24-year-old has so far driven 100 races in which he achieved 1 pole position, 12 podiums and 5 fastest laps in Formula 1. He is currently a member of the McLaren-Mercedes team and although he earns a lot of money (£16m/$20m a year), many expected the first car he bought to be some super powerful sports car, but that is not the case. With his first earnings he bought a 1972 Fiat 500 Jolly Evocation.

The car is based on the Fiat 600 Jolly, and legend has it that Gianni Agnelli wanted a car that could fit on the back of his 82ft yacht, and the result is this car. The Gia company produced only 650 copies of this model, and Lando’s is unfortunately not original. However, Lando didn’t mind so he bought a car and also let his friends drive it.

This Fiat 500 Jolly Evocation is powered by a rear-mounted 499cc air-cooled 2-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, controlled by a floor-mounted shifter with a wicker gear knob. The car has only 36,539 kilometers on the odometer, and is now looking for a new owner.

The auction will take place between October 26 and 31, and the estimated value of the car is between £28,000 and £33,000.
