Tesla is currently developing its new model, the Model Y Juniper, which will enter production in early 2025, and it is still unknown whether it will be offered only in the Chinese market or globally.
The Juniper will be produced in Shanghai, as will the six-seat Model Y, which may remain exclusive to the Chinese market due to the popularity of the six-seat configuration. Production of the Model Y will not start before Q4 2025.
Information about the Model Y Juniper was revealed by a reliable source, who also mentioned certain exterior and interior changes that will be similar to those of the Model 3 Highland. This would mean a more aggressive headlight design and a minimalist interior. It could also get a larger battery (95 kWh), improved electric motors and Tesla’s latest FSD hardware package AI4.
Tesla has not released information about specifications for now.
