Early last year, Porsche introduced a new model from the 992 series, the Porsche 911 GT3. Now, Porsche Tequipment offers the Manthey Performance Kit for this model that showed its performance at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The base Porsche 911 GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine with an impressive 510hp (375 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 197 mph (318 kph). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via manual or automatic seven-speed transmission (PDK).
The car got a better chassis and improved aerodynamics such as a larger front spoiler, improved sill accessories, wider rear fender, larger fender panels with Manthey logos, improved rear diffuser, four-way adjustable shock absorbers and better air intake which increases thrust. on the front. Harder springs have been fitted (10 per cent more on the front axle, seven per cent less on the rear) which has improved dynamic driving characteristics at the upper limits of the car. It is the result of a collaboration between Porsche engineers in Weissach and Nordschleife experts from Manthey in Meuspath.
When it comes to the braking system, there are reinforced brakes and special racing brake pads as an option. The car is mounted on a set of 20 and 21-inch lightweight forged wheels wrapped in Michelin PS Cup 2 tires. Wheels are available in Brilliant Silver, Dark Silver, Neodyme and Black.
At the Nürburgring Nordschleife upgraded Porsche 911 GT3 set a lap time of 6: 55.74. That’s 4.19 seconds faster than the standard 911 GT3 which set a lap time of 6: 59.93 last year.
The price of the Manthey Performance Kit starts at € 37,911, plus VAT.
