Porsche 911 GT3 Touring with Manthey Kit

The German auto racing team Manthey-Racing has been cooperating with Porsche for years, and now they have prepared a special Manthey Kit for the track-focused Porsche 911 GT3 Touring.

The current generation Porsche 911 GT3 is a truly remarkable car even without the Touring Package. Thanks to ingenious aerodynamics, cornering remains impressive, even without a large rear wing. Manthey-Racing took it to a higher level by installing a coilover suspension, front lip, air guide elements on the underbody, upgraded brake pads and brake lines as well as a carbon fiber diffusor for improved aerodynamics.

Manthey-Racing has shown that better performance doesn’t always require more power. Under the bonnet is still a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine with 510hp (375 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual or automatic seven-speed transmission (PDK). Manthey Kit also includes an optional lightweight wheel set that saves you 7.3 kg of weight compared to the stock wheels.

In 2022, the same company equipped this model with the Manthey Performance Kit, thanks to which the Porsche 911 GT3 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife set a lap time of 6: 55.74. That’s 4.19 seconds faster than the standard 911 GT3 which set a lap time of 6: 59.93 the year before. The same can be expected with the Manthey Kit.

Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport

Porsche has unveiled a new limited edition racing car, the 911 GT3 R rennsport. Only 77 examples will be produced and will be available to those with deep pockets, as this car costs $1,046,000 million.

The Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport is powered by a 4.2-liter water-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine with 620 hp (456 kW). The engine is paired with a six-speed sequential dog-type transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

The car will be offered with a range of customization options, such as seven different colors, opt for one of three exclusive paint designs or choose the most flawless color that Rennsport has to offer: pure carbon. It is equipped with adjustable suspension elements like the racing 911 GT3, unsilenced rennsport exhaust system, ultralight 18-inch BBS rims wrapped in Michelin tires. Customers can also get an exhaust system that produces less noise, which is a solution for use on tracks where there are decibel restrictions, and cameras and a special monitor in the cabin have replaced conventional mirrors.

Porsche claims that the 911 GT3 R rennsport is an uncompromising car for use on circuit tracks, but due to the small number of copies, many already perceive it as an expensive collector’s item that will occupy a special place in the garage.

Modified Porsche 911 996 Classic Club Coupe sold for $1.2 million

In 1997, Porsche unveiled a new model, the Porsche 996. It was the internal designation for the 911 model, which is now becoming very popular among enthusiasts of the German automaker. It was produced until 2004, and one example, the Porsche 911 996 Classic Club Coupe, was recently sold for $1.2 million.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Porsche held an auction where 75 cars were sold, including a one-of-a-kind 1998 Porsche 911 Classic Club Coupe. The car was inspired by the 911 Sport Classic (997), and the restoration took two and a half years. It iz finished in Sport gray metallic color, and got a set of Fuchs-style light rims with white and blue lines. Also, it is a combination of the best that Porsche has.

It is equipped with a ducktail spoiler reminiscent of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7, and a roof similar to earlier Carrera GT models. Inside, the seats are upholstered in black leather with blue stitching and Pepita, and the same combination covers the door panels. The central console, dashboard and steering wheel are wrapped in black leather with blue stitching. For a better atmosphere, a modern infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto system is installed.

When it comes to the powertrain, it should be noted that the original 3.4L flat6 engine with 296 hp (218 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque was removed during the restoration, and the 3.6L flat6 engine (from the 911 996.2 GT3 ) with 381 hp (280 kW) and 284 lb-ft (385 Nm) of torque, was installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
