GMG 992 GT3

After the Porsche 911 GT3 was introduced, many believed that the Stuttgart-based company would not produce a better car for a long time. However, the road-legal 911 GT3 RS model brought new aerodynamics and technological solutions that raised the car’s capabilities to a higher level. Now, the German tuner GMG offers the GMG 992 GT3, customized for every driver who wants to compete on the track.

GMG will equip each car with a new Bilstein adjustable suspension, exhaust system, rollbar, powerful brakes with 394 discs (front) and 403 mm discs (rear) and AP Racing brake calipers, special diffusers that prevent wind blows to the interior when driving with the windows down. , new 6061 aluminum wheel arches, and a set of 19-inch Forgeline rims with Pirelli tires. Also, the rigidity of the vehicle is increased thanks to the stabilizer that is welded into the interior of the car based on the design from the WEC championship.

GMG offers two exhaust systems, which, thanks to 3D scanning, can be directly changed and do not require any modifications, and are also lighter than the standard ones and enable better performance.

When it comes to the powertrain, GMG hasn’t talked about any changes. Porsche 911 GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine with an impressive 510hp (375 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 197 mph (318 kph). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via manual or automatic seven-speed transmission (PDK).

Porsche 911 GT3 RS is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine with only 518 hp (386 kW). The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch (PDK) transmission. It reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h). It is mounted on 20 and 21 inch forged light-alloy center-lock wheels wrapped in 275/35 R 20 (front) and 335/30 R21 (rear) tires. Three driving modes are available to the driver: Normal, Sport and Track.

2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS has finally arrived

After a long wait, speculation and testing, the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS has finally arrived. It is a road legal sports car that brings new aerodynamic and technological solutions that raise its capabilities to a new level.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine with only 518 hp (386 kW), although rumors said it could have over 540 hp (397 kW).

The car weighs only 1,450 kg thanks to the use of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) in its construction. It is equipped with a new central radiator, longer double-wishbone front axle links, significantly larger rear wing, front 408 mm brake discs with aluminum monobloc six-piston callipers, rear 380 mm brake discs with four-piston callipers, adjustable suspension, inlets behind the front wheels , sideblades behind the front and rear wheels to direct the air to the side, a front splitter that replaces the front spoiler, and a large number of other functional aerodynamic elements. Thanks to the new front elements and the large rear wing, the downforce is doubled, which increases the stability of the vehicle at high speeds. The new GT3 RS also has a drag reduction system, which is the first time in a production Porsche.

Inside, the carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and Alcantara with red stitching, while the headrest features embroidered “GT3 RS” lettering. The same combination can be seen on the door panels and dashboard, while the steering wheel, with four rotating controls for individual settings and a DRS button, is covered in Alcantara. In front of the driver is a 14-inch screen that the driver can reduce on the two seven-inch side displays.

With this model, Porsche offers the Clubsport package free of charge with six-point seat belts for the driver, steel rollover bar and a hand-held fire extinguisher. Weissach package is available at extra cost and includes CFRP parts like rollover bar, front and rear anti-roll bars, rear coupling rods and the shear panel on the rear axle.

2023 Porsche 911 GT3 R

The new generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 R has arrived. It is a racing car that was presented in America, and which will compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportCar Championship and in the European FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Porsche 911 GT3 R is powered by a 4.2L naturally-aspirated flat-six engine with 565 hp (416 kW). It is a modified engine from the 911 (992 series) with 3,997 cc. The engine is tilted forward in order to provide more space for the rear diffuser, and is paired with a six-speed sequential constant-mesh gearbox. It’s mounted on a set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in 30/68-18 (front) and 31/71-18 (rear) tires.

After the huge interest in this car, Porsche is very excited that the GT3 R has finally arrived and will prove to be the most usable 911 race car to date. The GT3 R will also show its capabilities at the 24 Hours of LeMans. “Drivability is remarkably important to the wide range of drivers that we have competing here and that was a focus of the type 992 911 GT3 R. We have already had overwhelming interest in the car, and we are looking forward to seeing it turn its first wheel here soon,” said Volker Holzmeyer, CEO of Porsche Motorsport North America.

The body of the GT3 R is made of carbon, while the wheel arches are made of aramid fibers, which significantly reduces the weight of the car to 1,250 kg (depending on BoP classification). It is equipped with a modified suspension, new double wishbones, adjustable shock absorbers manufactured by KW, steel 390 mm front discs with six-piston calipers, steel 370 mm rear discs with four-piston calipers, carbon-fibre rear lid and rear wing. The front underbody is elevated, which in combination with the smooth undertray and rear diffuser increases the downforce.

Inside, the seat is additionally positioned. All necessary safety equipment according to FIA standards is installed, such as an improved cage for side impacts, safety nets, integrated CFK side impact protection and fire extinguishing system with electronic release unit. In front of the driver is a 10.3-inch screen, multifunctional carbon-fibre steering wheel, shift paddles and illuminated push buttons.

The Porsche 911 GT3 R will be officially presented at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
