Rimac Nevera is ready for the European and U.S. market

Founder and owner of Rimac Automobili, Mate Rimac announced today that the long-running homologation process has finally been completed, and that Nevera is the first US & EU certified electric hypercar.

The last test, a side impact, was also attended by Matt Watson from the YouTube channel Carwow. He posted a video on his YouTube channel explaining the process of testing the $ 2 million car. Nevera showed more in testing than they predicted in Rimac Automobili.

After 45 crash tests and nine destroyed cars, Rimac said that the cars for Europe are ready and that delivery should start soon. Some smaller tests remain for the American market. All Rimac Nevera examples will be produced in a brand-new production facility on the new production line.

Also, Rimac did not hide his excitement that the cars will soon reach customers around the world.

Rimac Nevera reached a charging power of 333 kW

Rimac Automobili, which recently became the majority owner of Bugatti, is one of the leaders in the world of cars and automotive technology. Their latest electric hypercar, Rimac Nevera, set a record in charging power.

Nevera is fully manufactured in Croatia. It has a lithium-manganese-nickel battery with 6,960 cells and a capacity of 120 kWh. Thanks to four individually powered wheels, the Nevera has 1,914 hp (1,408 kW) and 1,741 lb-ft (2,360 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in just 1.97 seconds with a top speed of 258 mph (413 km / h), and has a range of 342 miles (550 km).

This is not about acceleration or engine performance, but about charging power. The world was impressed by the charging power of the Tesla V3 Supercharger, Porsche Taycan and Hyundai Ioniq 5 with charging power between 250 and 260 kW, and Lucid with 300 kW. Then came Rimac. He connected Nevera to the IONITY charger and achieved amazing results.

Rimac Nevera set a record by reaching a charging power of 333 kW, which was impressive. Rimac also stated that this is not the maximum power, because the charging power can be increased up to an incredible 500kW.

Mate Rimac destroyed € 2 million Nevera

Mate Rimac, the owner of Rimac Automobili, used the opportunity to drive Nevera on the construction site of his company’s new complex. Rimac wanted to have fun and show off his rally driver skills before he would completely destroy a two million euro car.

Its R&D and production complex worth 200 million euros is being built near Kerestinec in Croatia. Croatian media say it will be one of the largest complexes of its kind in Europe.

Rimac posted on his profile: “After dozens of tests, we have successfully completed all European homologation crash tests. This beautiful blue Nevera pre-series car is the last Nevera that has to die to complete the US crash-testing program. But before it goes into a wall, we had some fun…”

Earlier this year, Rimac Automobili took a majority stake in Bugatti. On that occasion, Rimac stated that this is an exciting moment in the short but turbulent history of Rimac Automobiles. The company has gone through so much in 10 years of existence. Such a project has raised a young and agile automotive and technology company to a higher level, gaining the trust of partners and a strong position in the high-performance electrical technology industry. With the Nevera model, they have proven that they can develop and produce fast and high-quality hypercars.
